About Whip Media Group

Whip Media Group’s companies, including Mediamorph, TV Time and TheTVDB, offer a data-driven integrated cloud solution that empowers the world’s leading entertainment organizations to intelligently acquire, distribute and monetize their content. Together, we track billions of consumer actions and financial transactions that accelerate innovation for buyers and sellers of content.

Job Description

Whip Media is transforming the global content licensing ecosystem with a market leading enterprise software platform that centrally connects data, processes and teams throughout the digital distribution journey. Powered by predictive insights and proprietary data, we enable the world’s top entertainment organizations to efficiently distribute, control and monetize their TV and movie content to drive revenue and direct-to-consumer growth.

Whip Media Group is hiring for a Director of Project Management who is detail-oriented, a self-starter strategic, nimble, client-focused and someone who has a track record in either media/content distribution/licensing or a technical/e-commerce environment.  This position will report to the EVP/GM Whip Media Exchange and will interface with key stakeholders both internally and externally.

This role will be focused on four key areas within the business - with the time spent in each of these areas shifting constantly depending on how far along certain projects are.

  • WMx Launch Project Management - work cross functionally with internal senior and mid-level executives in Product, Engineering, Data, Client Services, Sales Engineering, Sales Operations, Marketing and other departments to ensure clear project plans are in place, milestones are clearly defined and any timing expectations are clearly communicated in order to successfully bring WMx to market for Alpha, Beta, and Production phases (Alpha to begin 4/1/21).  As client trials are scheduled, develop project plans and update client notes to keep Whip teams apprised of progress, hiccups and delays.
  • WMx Client Liaison - particularly for Alpha/Beta clients, serve as primary liaison between client and internal teams, including Sales Engineering & Client Services, during onboarding and initial use/training phases.  Primary functions will be to write and track SOPs to ensure timelines are set and met, all internal communications and feedback loops are in place and functioning, and that critical milestones are met or escalated if falling behind.  “White Glove” client hand-holding may be required as we onboard teams that haven’t used Whip services before, or for whom new data ingestion is required.
  • WMx Feedback - collect client feedback and act as intermediary between client and Product Management to ensure clear communication of client pain points, product enhancements emerging from Alpha/Beta and ongoing client use of WMx.
  • WMx Rollout -  Track ongoing commercial rollout and set project plans for onboarding new clients or categories of clients. Work with Client Services, Sales and other internal teams to identify existing workflows which can be leveraged and/or expanded to support WMx commercial rollout. Work with Sales & Finance to develop budget goals.
