Job Description

Founded in 2015, Sendbird is the leading consumer engagement platform trusted by modern digital apps like Reddit, Delivery Hero, Dream 11, Carousell, Headspace, and Hinge. We allow any app (or Website) to quickly and easily embed rich real-time chat, voice, and video experiences into their app to help engage users in conversations and enable additional actions through those conversations. This could be connecting drivers and consumers in a timely fashion to reduce cancellations for a delivery app, helping buyers get their questions answered from sellers to increase transactions in a digital marketplace, or increasing engagement between users in an online community.

The platform has over 100M MAUs from 150+ countries operating in industries ranging from marketplaces, ride-sharing and online communities to gaming, live video streaming and healthcare.

As the Head of Sales for the APAC region, your mission will be to drive revenue growth through sales bookings and minimizing churn. Ensure customers are onboarded and supported once customers. Lead and build the team needed to accomplish the applicable targets established by the CEO.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • You will establish sales targets to meet the company objectives. 
  • Develop strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization.
  • Develops annual sales plan in support of organization strategy and objectives.
  • Directs implementation and execution of sales policies and practices.
  • Ensures communications are coordinated, supports sales plan objectives and meets organizational expenditure requirements in conjunction with VP of marketing.
  • Recommends sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analysis.
  • Implements approved distribution strategies
  • Manages multiple channel selling strategies.
  • Builds, develops and manages sales team capable of carrying out needed sales and service initiatives.
  • Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts
  •  Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
  •  Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  •  Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  •  Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
  • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends
  • Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor world-class salespeople.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales leadership at successful, high-growth technology platforms. The ideal candidate will bring significant business scaling experience and best practices from industry, while having a demonstrated ability to implement them in a fast-paced and global environment.
  • Experience in selling a technical, enterprise-grade platform product that has horizontal use cases into a number of industries, specifically; marketplaces, social & communities, digital health, on-demand services, gaming & live streaming, enterprise. 
  • Proven experience navigating complex selling motions and customer prospects, driving selling strategies across multiple layers and roles within an organization. 
  • Exceptional servant leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to inspire and motivate those around you.
  • Leadership experience regionally throughout APAC is needed.
