Parabola is closing the productivity inequality gap with a drag-and-drop, visual programming platform. We're starting with knowledge workers (e.g., marketing, sales, operations) and empowering them to increase their productivity leverage and become self-sufficient without having to learn how to code.

As our first full-time recruiter, you'll own the full recruiting life-cycle from sourcing to closing high-performing candidates across both engineering and business teams at Parabola. The right candidate is excited about having an impact quickly and helping us fill some high-impact roles as soon as possible, while also working to set the foundation of how we do hiring at Parabola. You'll work with hiring managers to write job descriptions, identify and source diverse talent, close the best candidates, and everything in between. You will champion an amazing candidate experience and ensure we're incorporating D&I best practices at every step of our process.
 
A great week would be...
• Working with a hiring manager to figure out ideal profiles and craft a new job description.
• Design a new process for candidate debriefs and run a training session for the team on how to conduct them.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategy for new role.
• Give feedback to a hiring manager on existing interview loops.
• Present an analysis on recruiting efforts to the team with opportunities for how to improve.
 
About you
• Experience: You have 3+ years of experience working in recruiting, ideally in a fast-growing startup or larger tech company. We're happy of course to tailor scope, compensation, and title based on experience!
• Communicator: You have strong written and verbal communication skills and can build trust and rapport with others quickly.
• Growth mindset: You are constantly looking for ways to grow and learn and you'll bring that excitement about growth to the company.
• Tinkerer: You enjoy learning new tools and processes and building things from scratch.
Resourceful and proactive: Your default is to figure out how to solve a problem, not why it can’t be done.
Pride in your craft: You are organized and thoughtful and have a strong work ethic. You care about your work.
