Job Description

Pendulum® is on a mission to help people improve physical and mental health by creating a new category of products that target the microbiome. We are researching, developing and commercializing a novel class of rationally-designed Live Synbiotics™ (probiotics + prebiotics) that have demonstrated clinical efficacy to treat conditions like metabolic syndrome, inflammation and neurodegeneration.
Pendulum has created proprietary pipelines to build a unique discovery platform that identifies key, novel bacterial strains and the prebiotics that feed them.

Position Summary
We’re seeking a Product Manager - Ecommerce, to own our Ecommerce platform. This person will work cross-functionally with internal business partners to synthesize and prioritize organizational goals and handle end-to-end management of our product roadmap. They should be passionate about delivering best-in-class digital experiences, with deep experience implementing features that drive conversion, engagement and revenue goals. The ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset, and is ready to build a word-class site experience that drives top line growth.

Responsibilities & Duties

    • Deliver a world-class D2C Ecommerce experience that drives the education and conversion of new customers and builds retention and loyalty among existing subscribers. 
    • End-to-end ownership of the product roadmap, partnering with Growth, Marketing, Creative, CRM, Customer Experience, Analytics, IT, and Fulfillment Teams to synthesize and prioritize organizational goals and achieve our KPIs.
    • Drive the successful launches of new website features, including gathering requirements, setting priorities, working with internal and external agencies, managing projects and workflows, and ensuring developer resources are optimized and deliverables are met on time.
    • Collaborate with marketing and design teams to ensure a cohesive brand experience across our site, acting as our subject matter expert on UX best practices, including management of the testing strategies and iterative cycles.
    • Collaborate with the Marketing team on comprehensive support for multi-channel marketing and promotional campaigns that drive traffic, conversion and revenue; including but not limited to ad tracking, CRO, SEO support, page speed, and checkout optimization.
    • Lead continual optimization of the performance of the website via a rigorous A/B testing strategy so that we’re always learning.
    • Leverage site data and analytics to understand our customers and their behaviors, bringing insights and deepening site personalization strategies that will help drive growth and retention.
    • Track and regularly present site performance and conversion analytics to inform our achievement of Ecommerce strategy and tactics, including competitive analysis and benchmarking.

Who are we looking for?

    • Strategic and analytical thinker with exceptional execution and problem-solving capabilities; comfortable with doing work in the trenches while still maintaining a strategic perspective.
    • Solutions-oriented mindset, that can deftly identify challenges and obstacles, and help drive towards solutions quickly and effectively.
    • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate strategy as well as tactical action plans, ensuring roadmap alignment across the organization, while holding partners, agencies and team members accountable for project deliverables.

Required Qualifications

    • 7+ years deploying and managing D2C ecommerce sites  
    • Proficiency with ubiquitous web technologies; including, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
    • 3+ years experience working with Shopify
    • Experience with Shopify and at least one other ecommerce platforms, e.g., Magento, Wu Commerce, etc., or custom-built platforms 
    • Experience setting up and managing a CRM
    • Experience supporting ad progams on a website
    • 3+ years managing internal and external resources, e.g., ecommerce operations, analytics and development functions 
    • Experience managing projects and product releases using Gantt charts or similar
    • Experience extracting and analytics data from web analytics tools
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Intellectually curious and honest; willing to teach and learn
    • Validated strong strategic problem solver who can set goals and run multiple, diverse projects
    • Strong organizational skills, extreme attention to detail and solid follow up
    • Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional team

Desired Qualifications

    • Experience with retention based businesses
    • BA/BS in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics or related field
    • Change management software, e.g., git
