Job Overview:
As the Director of Treasury Reconciliation and Control, you will be an integral member of the Payment & Treasury Operations team, establishing and overseeing the control environment around our applications responsible for moving and accounting for billions of dollars of customer funds. This position is expected to guide a cross-functional team of teammates and setting the team’s long-term operational reconciliation strategy and designing and enforcing various levels of controls within environments.
 
 
 
Job Responsibilities:   
 
  • Develop and implement the reconciliation and control framework.
  • Leads and manages overall team activities and monitors performance.
  • Help develop and update process documentation including flowcharts, narratives and risk and control matrices.
  • Manage settlement, funding and daily production of reconciliations supporting the business. Analyze, reviews, and reconciles payment transactions for financial and regulatory reporting.
  • Responsible for implementation of internal controls, operational policies, processes, and services.
  • Report internal control status, deficiencies, and actions to be taken to resolve
  • Assess opportunities for automation with controls and environments
  • Establish the function’s long-term strategic objectives.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and input for strategic initiatives.
  • Design and implement new processes, as new requirements arise.
  • Build internal and external relationships to ensure the company and the team are receiving the best service available. Ensure the team provides the same.
 
 
Required Experience, Qualifications and Skills 
 
  • 5+ years work experience in a senior role with demonstrated ability to solve complex problems in various environments   
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, accounting controls and reconciliation practices.
  • Advanced MS Office skills
  • Cross-functional leadership experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring controls.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated history of a customer-focused mindset.
  • Demonstrated history of drive, integrity, accountability and superb work ethic.
 
 
Preferred Experience, Qualifications and Skills 
 
  • Internal Reconciliation and/or Audit background preferred
  • Advanced MS Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Access, Visio.
  • Other technical skills… SQL, relational database structure, BI tools.
  • Ability to guide a cross-functional team from current state to a desired future state, managing change across all teams.
  • Ability to define a project plan and manage a cross-functional project from start to finish.
  • Experience in defining strategic direction and making a plan to achieve
