Requirements

As a Technical Program Manager in Kaltura’s Professional Services, you will be responsible for the definition, execution, and success of mission-critical initiatives for Kaltura and our largest and most sophisticated customers. In this role, you will oversee the delivery of Kaltura's On-Premises platform to multiple internal, managed, and client-owned environments. You will work with engineers, project managers, and customer success managers to ensure that this flagship program is successful with regard to feature rollouts, upgrades, and service improvement initiatives. You will be responsible for successful delivery, on time, and to spec. You will frequently interface with Kaltura’s internal product delivery teams to ensure that features and requirements related to this program are prioritized accordingly. From time to time, you will act as a trusted advisor to clients’ business stakeholders and have a tangible impact on their business operations and overall success. Excellent organizational, written, and presentation skills are a must.

 

A successful candidate will have past experience managing large-scale technology programs in SaaS software, networking, security, or related fields. You must be able to dive deep into technical requirements and challenges, as well as identify and communicate delivery risks. You will use creative problem solving to propose solutions to risks and blockers, and use pattern recognition skills to identify process improvement opportunities. In the meanwhile, you will learn Kaltura’s wide-ranging video platform and product suite, and master cutting edge video use cases. 

 

This role is open in Kaltura’s New York Headquarters, and to qualified remote candidates in the United States. When travel restrictions ease, some internal travel and client visits may be required for events such as kick-offs, workshops, and training sessions (up to 20 business days per year).

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with senior management to develop program requirements and create program plans that satisfy stated business objectives.
  • Clearly, present program plans to internal stakeholders, executing teams, and potentially to involved clients.
  • Manage program execution by assigning responsibilities, articulating priorities, and working with team managers on the allocation of staff.
  • Identify risks to program delivery and develop risk management strategies. You will be expected to understand engineering challenges and blockers and facilitate the delivery of technical solutions by engineers, engineering managers, and product owners.
  • Track technical and operational issues. Ensure that issues are clear, actionable, and prioritized. 
  • Define and track program KPIs.
  • Deliver regular status updates to stakeholders and executives.
  • From time to time, you may be called on to manage tactical initiatives around security audits, SLAs, and service quality.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Multiple years of experience managing IT projects/programs, or technical software products.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute project/program plans spanning multiple responsible departments, internal stakeholders, and external representatives (e.g. clients, vendors, auditors, etc.)
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Fluent in general Enterprise IT concepts including networking, security, and web services.
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g. Smartsheet) and technical issue tracking systems (e.g. Jira).
  • Experience with process design and process improvement in an IT context. 
  • Self-starter who communicates proactively, and is comfortable engaging others for assistance and information.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills. Ability to distill complex technical and operational topics for non-engineers.

Advantages

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Management of Information Systems, or a similar field.
  • Up-to-date PMP, PgMP, or similar certification.
  • Hands-on experience with system engineering, DevOps, and/or web-based software development.
  • Experience with Scrum or other Agile methodologies.
  • Experience with SaaS software product management.
  • Experience with content delivery (esp. video or audio), VoIP, unified messaging, etc.
