In your role as Regional VP of Sales, you’ll be uncovering, developing, and closing opportunities with employers. Your primary areas of focus will be:

  • Large Market ASO Business – Focused on employers under 25,000 employees
  • Employer Benefit Consultants – Educating and supporting their discovery into who Ginger is
  • Partner Channel Opportunities - Uncovering opportunities to collaborate and enhance Ginger’s availability 

This is a remote role in our Southeast region.

Responsibilities: 

  • Build strategic relationships across a matrix of roles and areas of expertise within employers and consultancies
  • Deliver upon core sales metrics, identifying opportunities, growing pipelines and developing new partnerships
  • Develop an operating calendar, a detailed account plan/forecast, and account planning/mapping process for review
  • Maximize, drive and achieve revenue and margin goals while staying within the allocated budget
  • Help increase Ginger market share by prospecting and identifying new opportunities
  • Demonstrate a broad comprehension of the customer’s needs, market trends, industry challenges, major players, relevant products and technologies

Requirements: 

  • A proven track record of success working with large employers 
  • 10+ years of progressive direct sales experience
  • Experience in a business-to-business environment, selling healthcare IT and services
  • A robust network of contacts
  • Experience managing and selling in an employee benefit environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Outstanding presentation skills, including effectiveness in small and large group settings, both in person and via virtual meeting tools and/or conference calls
  • Strong project and account management skills
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with highly-talented sales professionals
  • The ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within an organization
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline

Preferred:

  • Experience successfully navigating the employer ecosystem (consultants, brokers, payers, TPA, etc.) to drive growth is a plus
  • Complex and strategic sales experience
  • Technology and/or professional services experience
  • Start-up experience
