Title: Clinical Lead, Cleo Baby
 
Overview:

We are seeking a Clinical Lead for Cleo Baby, our flagship product that supports the journey from pregnancy through baby’s first year. As the Clinical Lead for this product, you will work cross-functionally with colleagues across Product, Member Operations, Sales, and Marketing to sharpen Cleo’s clinical and coaching-driven approach to supporting expecting and new parents. You will also become the Cleo voice on the latest evidence, science, and news relating to perinatal and birth-related care. You will be our internal expert on the topic of supporting our members who are in the process of welcoming a child, allowing Cleo to expand its reach and impact.
 
This is a part-time role that reports to the Chief Medical Officer.


Key Responsibilities:

 

    • Employ your clinical expertise to support Cleo’s Product team to develop rich, science-driven content and innovative app features to support families under the Cleo Baby umbrella
    • Partner with Cleo’s Member Operations team to design escalation protocols and programming for specific sub-populations, and provide oversight in clinically complex or high risk cases
    • Use Cleo as a platform for thought leadership on current issues in your field
    • Work with our data experts to define and evaluate Cleo’s clinical outcomes in this area
    • Lead quality and case review towards ensuring consistent, evidence-based care

To be successful in this role you may have:
    • MD, CNM, NP, or advanced clinical training in Perinatology, Neonatology, or Obstetrics & Gynecology
    • Completion of residency or post-graduate training
    • 3+ years postgraduate clinical experience
    • Prior experience in digital health as a subject matter expert or consultant
    • Prior experience in healthcare quality improvement principles and strong grasp of workflow design, case audits, and root cause analysis
    • Experience in bringing your clinical expertise to the table with non-clinicians to improve product and process development
    • A value for strong relationships and a collaborative approach to problem solving
    • Comfort in being the voice of the expert
    • Eagerness to learn new skills in a fast-paced startup environment, to be a team player, and to support the team’s goals with a “no task is beneath you” mentality
    • Passion for innovation within the family building and parenthood journey
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
