About Cutover

Cutover, the leader in work orchestration and observability, is the only platform that provides full organizational visibility into dynamic flows of work, bringing them out of the dark matter of the enterprise to enable teams to move quickly with confidence. Cutover eliminates outdated approaches like static-spreadsheets and weekend calls so teams can accomplish the work quickly and effectively—without the headache. Cutover's solution helps enterprises more effectively plan, orchestrate and audit the human and automated activities that drive critical events, such as technology releases, resilience testing, operational readiness and major incident recovery.

Job Description

At Cutover, we’re focused on building a cutting edge software platform to help Enterprise teams move quickly with confidence. We’re the leader in Work Orchestration and Observability, enabling teams to plan, orchestrate, and analyze complex work faster, smarter, and with greater visibility. We’ve come a long way in a short space of time: more than doubling our global team to 100 people, bringing on board multiple top-tier Enterprise clients (including some of the world’s largest Financial Services institutions), and having Index Ventures lead our $17m Series A round all in the past 12 months. What’s even more exciting to us, is that our Cutover journey is just getting started...

We’re scaling our Finance organization in a big way in 2021 and as part of that growth, we’re looking for a stellar FP&A Manager to help steer the direction of our forecasting, budgeting and planning activities while providing some great structure and discipline to everything we do. We’re delighted to be building out our FP&A team as we begin our most exciting year yet; 2021 has so much in store for us here at Cutover, so having a team able to adapt to the challenges of a dynamic scale-up business to produce a robust and effective forecasting process is one of our key priorities.

What will you be doing as our FP&A Manager here at Cutover?

  • Implementing a new ERP system and forecasting tool for us, then taking over the ERP "Administrator" role from our Head of Finance, being responsible for any related projects and supporting other members of the team in their use of our accounting system.
  • Working closely with our Head of Finance in the running of the financial planning & analysis function across the group including budgeting, monthly forecast processes, and longer term planning.
  • Collaborating in the development and refinement of financial analysis for internal needs, developing a quarterly reporting pack for heads of departments.
  • Delivering a monthly results pack with analysis and commentary to the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Partnering with our Head of Finance to prepare analytical insights for the Senior Leadership Team and Board into the drivers and results of the budget and forecasting process to aid management understanding and decision-making.
  • KPI analysis (key SaaS metrics to include ARR/MRR/CHURN/CAC etc), making recommendations to support business decision making.
  • Setting up ongoing SaaS metric tracking for the commercial team to make informed decisions to support budget creation.
  • Adding value and expertise to our pricing strategy through modelling and sensitivity analysis.
  • Taking the lead on many of our management reporting work streams to understand current business performance.
  • Partnering in the development and refinement of a financial planning model (including sensitivity analysis and scenario planning), which will be used for future investment cycles and for internal budgeting processes.
  • Acting as a trusted business partner to senior folks across the entire organisation, working especially closely with Product, Tech, Sales, Marketing and our People function.
  • Supporting on commercial activities, including future funding rounds.
  • Continually improving key FP&A controls and processes.

What would we like you to bring to the table?

  • You’ll likely come from a SaaS company (or broader tech company) background; ideally you’ll have played an FP&A role in another quickly-growing venture capital backed business.
  • If you’re a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or recognised equivalents), then that would be great - but that’s not a mandatory requirement for us; great attitude, a desire to learn, and diverse experience always trump qualifications in our mind!
  • You’re fascinated by new tech and innovative ways of doing business - you’re not a back-office finance person, but someone who wants to be a genuine partner to the business (you can demonstrate how you’ve successfully partnered with key stakeholders from the broader business in your previous roles).
  • You have strong Excel and financial modelling ability; you’re also well versed in financial software platforms commonly used in growing tech companies (Xero, etc.).

The opportunities you’ll have to learn & grow at Cutover...

  • You’ll be part of an early stage, rapidly scaling organization, with a meritocratic approach: we want to promote and retain our top performers.
  • Learning, development and personal growth are all important themes for us at Cutover; you’ll be empowered to build out your own learning plan, with budget given for courses, conferences and anything else that you feel is relevant to your growth here.
  • Safeguarding the mental health of our teams is paramount for us here at Cutover, especially after the crazy year that 2020 has been; if you’d like to, then you’ll be able to avail of multiple Cutover mental health initiatives, from fully subsidised therapy sessions, through to subscriptions to leading wellbeing platforms (and lots more in between).
  • You’ll be be given a motivating comp-plan, top-of-market benefits package for a Series A stage business, and allocated share options in a Series A business backed by a truly world-class investment team at Index Ventures (we’re all co-owners and are genuinely invested in Cutover’s future success).
