About Pantheon

At Pantheon, we're building the world's best WebOps (Website Operations) platform - one that empowers marketing and development teams to take control of their websites, while giving them the agility to win in the dynamic world of digital marketing. Our mission is to make the web a first-class platform that delivers results.

Job Description

This role can be remote and work from anywhere in the United States.

About Pantheon

Pantheon is the only WebOps platform built from the ground up for agility. We help our customers win, where the digital experience starts and matters most - their websites. We empower teams of developers, marketers, and IT professionals to focus on delivering business results while Pantheon handles uptime, performance, scalability, and security. We are the fastest growing Drupal and WordPress platform in the world, powering over 285,000 sites and serving billions of pages every month.  Happy customers include some of the most recognized names in high tech, higher education, and NGOs, such as Patch, Apigee, UC Berkeley, Arizona State University, and the United Nations.

With 35% of the web running open-source and significant investments in a $200 billion total addressable market, we are growing aggressively into a huge market opportunity and looking to expand our sales organization.

The Role

Pantheon is looking for a talented FP&A Senior Analyst to grow our Finance team capabilities and establish core financial processes!  You will be joining a talented, diverse team at a fast-paced growth company that is defining the new category of WebOps.  The FP&A team plays an integral role in managing the long-term growth plans, ensuring allocation of resources to strategic initiatives, and providing guidance on opportunities to accelerate growth.

We are looking for someone who can roll up their sleeves to establish, build, maintain, and automate key processes related to budgeting, financial reporting, forecasting, and commission calculations.  As Pantheon grows to $100M+ in revenues, this individual will be a critical member in providing guidance to our executive team on key economic decisions and new growth channels and opportunities.  The role will provide an excellent growth opportunity to learn all aspects of financial planning and forecasting and wear multiple hats on various cross-functional finance initiatives.

The role will report into our Head of FP&A.

Cool Things You’ll Do and Learn

  • Implement agile budgeting and forecasting

Work directly with executives and directors across the company to establish financial processes that build flexibility to adjust and better allocate resources for today’s changing business needs.  Instead of being reactive and tied to fixed budgets, Finance at Pantheon operates as proactive advisors to inform and empower strategic and tactical financial decisions across the organization.

  • Build and improve our financial reporting and systems

Partner with our Accounting and Revenue Operations teams on month-end close, top-line revenue reporting, and cash management.  Build and improve on existing reporting processes, while working on systems integration for automation on systems such as Zuora and Salesforce in 2021, and our new financial planning tool for 2022.

  • Develop insights for our Go-to-Market strategies to improve sales efficiency

Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to improve our sales efficiency as Pantheon continues to scale. Create analyses to calculate Pantheon’s CAC, business cases to review new growth opportunities, and metrics to evaluate our LeadGen capabilities to translate into actionable insights for our GTM team

  • Manage our sales compensation processes

Lead our sales compensation process, from comp structure design, automated calculations, and alignment with our strategic GTM objectives.  Partner with our Sales Operations and People leaders to establish best practices and improved performance tracking within our financial systems

  • Create Board and Investor materials

Work cross-functionally with leaders on ad-hoc projects that evaluate our long-term strategy and Pantheon’s market potential in the WebOps category.  This is an opportunity to develop top-line and bottom-line guidance at a venture-backed company, and develop the skills for future public company-level guidance going forward.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Relevant experience: 3-5 years of broad finance experience (FP&A, Investment Banking, Public Accounting, Strategy Consulting)
  • Self-starter with drive and initiative to push projects to completion
  • Detail-oriented to navigate complex data and business models in a world where data is disparate, incomplete, and ambiguous
  • Passion to learn and experiment in a changing environment
  • Humility and a sense of humor

Bonus Points

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, Netsuite and Zuora
  • Experience working in a venture-backed environment

What We Offer

We have all the usual perks and benefits but what we can really offer you is a fantastic work environment powered by an amazing team.

  • Industry competitive compensation
  • Stock option plan
  • Unlimited time off and sick days
  • Full medical coverage (medical, dental, vision)
  • Top-of-line equipment
  • Fun at WordPress and Drupal community events

Pantheon is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer and we welcome applications from all backgrounds regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, disability, or any other classification protected by law.
