The amount of advertisers on Pinterest is growing faster than the sales team, necessitating new investments in driving sales productivity through Tooling. Your customers would be internal, and you’d become an expert at how the whole sales motion works. Friction is your enemy, and happy productive sales people is your outcome. We’re looking for motivated and self starting individuals to evolve existing, and build new tooling from scratch. You’ll work closely with internal customers from many disciplines (product, operations, sales) to rapidly deliver creative solutions in an iterative manner.
What you’ll do
- Start with the front-end for internal tools apps, building quickly and iteratively to support 10’s of 1000’s of elements in performant systems.
- Experiment and iterate new tooling designs directly with stakeholders, rapidly capitalizing on new ideas that are uncovered by enabling sales with more technology.
- Connect disparate internal systems to bring more data insights together at the point of decision making.
- Design and develop internal tools to improve efficiency of internal operations for sales
- Work closely with internal customers from product management, sales and operations to craft new internal tools for specific purposes.
What we’re looking for:
- 3+ years of software engineering experience
- Excellent problem solver and communicator, passionate about delivering value to enable others to do their best work.
- Programming language proficiency in Java/Python/Node or similar
- Experience working in full stack environments, developing backend services, REST APIs and web-based frontend work
- Experience in starting projects from scratch, working in a tight iterative loop directly with customers
