This role provides an opportunity to work in service design to connect digital interfaces, test kits, labs, and programs to users, specialists, administrators, employers, and government agencies. We’re helping people stay safe, get treatment early, and be empowered.
We’re building on our success in democratizing access to clinical-grade genetic testing to deliver the first data-driven health system infrastructure to shift the economics from managing illness to keeping people well.
The team is small but quickly growing. We need your help to develop foundational methods from the ground up. Your research will help us scale, discover new needs, and launch products that will change healthcare for millions of people.
How You'll Contribute:
- Collect and analyze user behavior through a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods, such as usability studies, field visits, ethnographic research, surveys, benchmark studies, web analytics, and online experiments (A/B testing)
- Collaborate with data scientists and scientific researchers on more quantitatively intense or formal research projects
- Partner with cross-functional teams to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Understand and incorporate complex regulatory, business, and technical requirements into research
- Communicate and integrate research findings to a diverse audience through written reports and in-person presentations
- Champion all users to ensure our products are available, accessible, and inclusive
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- 5+ years UX research experience with a consumer product
- Experience conducting interviews, contextual field visits, and usability studies, either live or remote
- Experience with self-directed data analysis -- SQL and Tableau experience is a plus
- Understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process
- Effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills
- Dedication to shipping the best product, within real-world constraints
- A graduate degree in a related field, like psychology, human factors, human-computer interaction, information sciences, sociology, or marketing
- A portfolio showcasing how you frame, execute, and share out your work
