Using both in vitro, in vivo and in silico testing platforms, biopharma can leverage the experience and expertise at Champions Oncology to help guide decision making for effective therapeutic development.

 

Job overview

We are looking for a Business Development Associate to join our commercial team and generate translational oncology business. The Business Development Associate will work closely with the designated Coast business development team to present and promote services to potential clients including new accounts.  This will include generation of new business opportunities at new and existing accounts, with the objective of establishing long term, mutually beneficial business partnerships. Some of the duties include, but are not limited to; 

  • Use scientific acumen to assist the business development team in fulfilling data request.
  • Assist in business contracting processes.
  • Maintain a strong scientific acumen and understands emerging technologies or novel oncology therapeutic platforms.
  • Provide general intelligence on key competitors, and the oncology therapeutic market.
  • Join external meetings and calls with clients to support business development activities.
  • Collaborates with companywide resources to achieve superior customer satisfaction.
  • Organize and hosts client visits.
  • Use CRM to manage internal communication and document territory and client information as required for the business unit.
  • Support an established client base where appropriate.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Doctorate in biomedical science, biochemistry, biology or a related field or Master of Science (MS) in biological discipline with 3 plus years of relevant experience. (preferred)
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced environment 
  • Advanced industry knowledge highly preferred
  • Ability to manage difficult client and/or financial situations with exceptional client services skills
  • Ability to differentiate Champions from competitors
  • Strong working relationship with internal Champions management and site leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire and grow client base
  • Effective oral and written communication skills are required.
