Job Description

Infoworks is scaling! We are hiring a Senior Product Manager who will be responsible for defining the short and medium term roadmap of our Infoworks platform. You are hands-on with data engineering related technologies, enjoy driving the product lifecycle across both R&D and field organizations, and have a passion for customer success. 

This role is for a strong technical leader who will work with cross functional teams spanning multiple product and technology disciplines. Successful candidates will be highly adaptable, possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, will be able to effectively manage multiple work streams, and have sufficient product management process know-how to help scale up a growing products organization.

What you will do

  • Manage the product life cycle of the Infoworks platform from definition through development, launch and end of life. Maintain and drive the delivery schedule and prioritize incoming bugs and feature requests, continually managing the balance between ensuring the success of existing customers and driving future innovation.
  • Work with the customer success and product team to understand the product priorities, analyze/research customer requirements and produce product requirement documents (PRD), use cases and user stories based on the findings and collaboration with user experience, cloud and other engineering team members.
  • Understand feature/timeline trade-off and drive towards resolution including user interface decisions and other product related issues.
  • Engage closely with the engineering team to define technical product requirements, provide feedback on sprint demos and technical implementation methods.
  • Work with a cross-functional internal team (including support, sales, marketing, legal, etc.) to gather customer feedback and ensure smooth and successful launches.
  • Research and build knowledge base around competitive products, as required.
  • Author and participate in the delivery of sales enablement, product marketing, blogs and other customer-facing content in support of Infoworks’ go-to-market activities, as required.
  • Engage and define integrations with technology partners, as required.
  • Respond to any internal/external questions on the product in a timely and complete manner.
  • Understand the goals of company's core technology and translate them into a scalable vision.
  • Develop a strong roadmap of the Infoworks platform to enable creation of market-leading and cutting-edge solutions.
  • Complete requirements definition using combination of proactive research and inputs from various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Execute the role of product owner in release process and ensure rigour in release criteria definition and enforcement.
  • Define metrics for product's reliability, scalability, performance, and security and continuously assess its adherence against such metrics.

What we are looking for

  • 10 years of experience in Tech/Software Engineering with 3+ years in the capacity of product manager or similar role in database, data lake, data integration / pipeline, and/or analytics product organizations for enterprise customers.
  • Hands-on familiarity with one or more of the leading Cloud-native data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, and data services on AWS, Google Cloud GCP, Microsoft Azure).
  • Experience in product management at enterprise software product organizations with a full product lifecycle experience creating and launching products.
  • Should have deep technical passion with a demonstrated successful execution in business, partnering, and marketing activities.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, cross group collaboration, communication and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of marketing disciplines and competitive frameworks.

Bonus Points

  • Engineering graduate with an MBA or significant exposure to business management
  • 2+ years of Experience in a big data based product company
  • Experience preferably with external customer facing software projects
  • Ability to operate and communicate at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in a “scale up” startup environment
