Our vision at CHEQ is simply to keep the internet human. We develop cybersecurity solutions for the digital media landscape to prevent and eliminate fraudulent, nonhuman and invalid internet traffic. Our clients benefit from an autonomous platform that is used to detect and prevent fake bot traffic for advertisers.


Our growing company, backed up by one of Silicon Valley's tier 1 VCs, is seeking to bring on a strong, experienced Sales Manager who will join our fast-growing company and will take on a hunter role based in Tokyo. The role will focus on driving new customer acquisition with publishers, agencies and direct brands in Japan. Working with and reporting into Japan’s Country Manager you will play a key role in driving our Japan market expansion and growth.   • Prospect, qualify, and win new customer engagements
  • Discover and present to leading Media & Digital Agencies as well as direct brands
  • Identify, call, email and pitch and demo F2F and over video conferencing the CHEQ offering to new prospects and existing stakeholders within these prospects.
  • Meet or over-achieve quarterly and annual quotas
  • Work closely with Sales Engineering, Business Development and Marketing teams to surface opportunities and generate required pipeline.
  • Foster and maintain client relationships with key contacts 
  • Periodic review of lost and won accounts, sales generation and up-selling opportunities
  • Collaborate and cooperate with Customer the Success team for smooth client handovers upon signature of a deal (and then again upon renewals or upgrades asif required)


  • 3+ years experience in SaaS or Ad tech/ Marketing tech sales. Experience with Cyber Security and BI/Analytics spaces is preferred. 
  • English – Business level at minimum
  • Experience selling to agencies/ publishers/ brands - an advantage
  • Understand the changing nature of the digital media industry and eco-system as a whole - an advantage .
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Time management skills with the ability to effectively manage and prioritize own workload.
  • Natural ability for consultative and solution-based selling.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with direct customers and internal teams.
  • Motivated self-starter who is hungry to win.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent presentation, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • B.S. or B.A. degree.
