We need engineers who can lead projects to design and build software services to support our growing rental business and expansion into the retail market.
What You'll Do
- You’ll be hands-on for the ongoing development of infrastructure as code and will support the engineering team in sharing that responsibility
- Implement and manage infrastructure diagnostics and alerts
- Build internal tools to accelerate the development process
- Collaborate with other engineers in stabilizing, maintaining and expanding our infrastructure
- Design and implement architecture to support scalable and highly available systems with automation and disaster recovery
- Build and deploy environments on the Kubernetes platform
- Implement CI/CD with Jenkins
- Monitor, analyze, and report performance statistics and track root cause and resolution
- Support The Black Tux’s operational and IT teams, including on-premise servers in our distribution centers and HighJump Windows & MS SQL Servers
Who You Are
- 3+ years experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability or Platform Engineering role employing industry best practices supporting builds, deployments, and operations with a focus on supporting web applications
- 2+ years of professional experience with AWS or any other cloud provider
- Strong background in Linux administration
- Understanding of networking (DNS, routing, IP protocol, bridges, virtual network, ports, server/client architecture)
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Able to lead a task from start to finish
- Experience implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins or similar
- Experience with scripting in Python (preferred) or other scripting/programming languages (e.g., Ruby, Go, Scala)
- Experience with an enterprise monitoring solution such as DataDog, AppDynamics, New Relic
- Familiar with Terraform, Ansible or other Automation Configuration Management System tools
- Centralized monitoring experience using InfluxDB, Telegraf, Grafana, or Prometheus
- Centralized logging experience using DataDog Logs, Grafana Loki, Kibana, or Splunk
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
- Able to build, deploy, and monitor Docker containers (Kubernetes is a big plus!)
- Familiar with Windows server environment
