Job Description

Please Note: For the health and safety of our employees, Lessonly’s physical office is currently closed due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. All of our employees are working remotely and we are re-evaluating the opening date of our office on an ongoing basis.

This position may work in the Lessonly office in Indianapolis, IN or remotely from any of the following states: Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, Virginia or Washington


Commercial Sales Development Representative

The Sales Development role is challenging and fulfilling. You will be given more responsibility and autonomy compared to other similar sales roles. Because you will be reaching out to leaders at large Enterprise companies, breaking through the noise requires persistence, creativity and understanding of the value Lessonly brings to our customers. 

The Role & What You’ll Do:

Connect with prospects by outbound phone calls, emails, LinkedIn and various multi channel touch points

Personalized messaging to targeted Accounts with activities split between email, cold calls, video, social and other innovative activities to increase the best chance of success 

Research, educate and qualify organizations to see how Lessonly could be helpful to them

Fearlessly ask tough, business impact questions

Maintain organized records in Salesforce for your work

Share input with the team to maximize success

Consistently be able to hit weekly KPIs and monthly quotas 

The Qualities:

Demonstrated previous sales development success with 1+ years experience in a similar role (Preferred, not required)

Extremely comfortable ability with speaking on the phone (ie cold calling is not dead!) 

Self-starter who combines a high level of creativity with nonstop drive to get things done

Competitive and helpful at the same time -- you’re driven by winning and you’ll break your back to help a teammate do the same

Highly organized, personable and coachable 

Passionate about tech, sales & helping people be the best they can be
