About the Role
The Director of Competitive Intelligence will help define and drive the go-to-market positioning and strategy for Eightfold. As a member of the product marketing team, you will be responsible for supporting the go-to-market teams in competitive deals, defining strategic positioning of the product, and working with the product teams to influence the roadmap.
In this role, you will be a key link between Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Alliances, and Executives.
  • Establish and maintain a thorough understanding of the talent management HR software and adjacent markets.
  • Understand competitors’ go-to-market strategies, product capabilities, and messaging to create content for targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Be the company expert on market intelligence, develop competitive positioning assets and enable the entire organization on market landscape and positioning.
  • Collaborate with and support the go-to-market teams in individual deals against competitors. This may include speaking with prospects to differentiate the Eightfold platform.
  • Own the competitive intelligence internal site and ensure that all information is relevant, updated and accurate
  • Implement processes, procedures, policies and templates to improve data gathering, analysis and intelligence dissemination
  • Conduct quarterly win/loss trend analysis and deal debriefs on competitive deals, reporting back to the executive team.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product and Partner teams to define go-to-market approach and drive execution in collaboration with the entire organization.
  • 7+ years’ experience in B2B software product marketing, competitive intelligence, or venture capital.
  • Technical BA/BS degree is required; MBA is a plus.
  • Strategy & Market Research knowledge.
  • Strong public speaking, presentation, and communication skills
  • Intellectual curiosity with an innate desire to learn and master market dynamics and competitive advantage
