Position Summary:

Manage and assist with day to day operations of the Closing Department and provide guidance for individual closers while increasing efficiency and productivity of the team.  Work closely with Director to coach, motivate and develop good quality of loans.  Performs other duties as assigned as directed.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Promote an overall team approach to meeting daily expectations and ensure loans are being close accurately.
  • Participate in training and updating of policies, processes and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Provide coaching, performance management, approving timecards and PTO, and monitoring customer service and SLA.
  • Problem solve closing issues and assist in solving post-closing delays or issues.
  • Assures distribution of workload is attained, reassignment of loans based on capacity and staffing for workload balancing for each individual team member.
  • Help coach and train employees to become experts in their positions and how to solve loan discrepancies and balance workflow effectively.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Minimum of 5 years Mortgage Closing Experience (Conventional, FHA, and VA)
  • Minimum of the most recent two years’ experience in Closing management
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards
  • Demonstrated skill in monitoring and overseeing loan production pipeline
  • Strong understanding of TRID Disclosures, CD/LE
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with Encompass 360 preferred
  • Experience interpreting internet-based loan and document guidelines
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Ability to work well independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to be able to work after hours when assigned
