  • Product planning & strategy
  • Map company strategic initiatives into the product strategy
  • Expand product strategy into projects/epics and help maintain a prioritized backlog that maps into a roadmap
  • Communicate roadmap & strategy with leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure buy-in
  • Research & Feedback
  • Drive market & competitive research and share findings across the organization
  • Engage customers, develop relationships with them and help define the problem space and understand their needs
  • Product development & execution
  • Actively maintain a properly groomed backlog
  • Define epics & drive prioritization of the backlog items
  • Collaborate with engineering & other product owners to refine epics into well defined user stories
  • Actively participate in the scrum process - planning/stand-ups/review/retrospectives
  • Product launch/sunset
  • Ensure appropriate hand off of features to post sales teams (customer support, customer success)
  • Define, track and communicate success metrics
  • Define and manage beta launches ( customer qualification/ beta exit criteria etc) and their graduation to general availability
  • Define and manage product sunset process
  • GTM
  • Marketing
  • Partner with marketing to support AR/PR
  • Evangelism - Support content marketing through blogs/webinars/contributed articles
  • Help marketing develop compelling messaging, pricing & positioning
  • Partnerships - Help partner team drive relevant partnership discussions through use case ideation, joint offering ideation, partner GTM
  • Pre-sales - Help sales team close deals by being the SME that helps with prospect discussions & RFPs as needed
  • Post-sales - Deliver product roadmap at QBRs and partner with CSM team to address any product feedback directly with customers

Skills & Abilities

  • Customer focus
  • Listen and truly uncover customer need instead of simply relaying their asks
  • Engage all levels of customer organization through a structured discovery process 
  • Technical 
  • Ability to ‘look under the hood’ of the product to clearly understand the technical decisions made by the team. 
  • Gain respect of engineering team to challenge & push the team to their fullest capability
  • Ensure every technical decision aligns with the expected customer outcome. 
  • Understanding of the key technologies used by your product at the ‘architecture level’

Domain Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of fraud prevention or related products & use cases - evolution, market dynamics & innovation areas
  • Cross functional - Understand sales, marketing & business development functions enough to be able to effectively partner with them to ensure product success

Project Management

  • Good understanding of the scrum approach to software development
  • Sense of focus, balance and priority to identify the most impactful capabilities from everything else that might also seem relevant & important

Communication & leadership

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technology clearly
  • Flexible, self-motivated & a positive teammate
  • Ability to work independently or lead others on projects as needed
  • Excellent negotiation & persuasion skills to influence and lead without authority across all functions of the organization


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field. MBA is a big plus
  • 4+ years of experience in technical product management with direct experience writing requirements, understanding technical architecture & driving feature development with engineering 
  • 3+ years of related industry experience (enterprise security, online fraud detection, risk management )
  • 2+ years driving product vision & GTM strategy via analysis & research of product, customers & market dynamics 
  • Experience/knowledge working in or working with functional areas like Engineering, UX/UI, Sales, Customer Support, Finance or Marketing.
