Job Description

Wonolo, which stands for Work Now Locally, is disrupting the $70bn temporary staffing industry. Founded in 2014, Wonolo is a remote-first company with three regional hubs: San Francisco Bay Area, Nashville, and Toronto. We have built a tech-enabled marketplace that connects businesses in need of front-line workers on a temporary or seasonal basis, with 500,000 underemployed workers in local markets all across the country. Our mission is to empower the in-demand workforce by providing flexible and fulfilling job opportunities for everyone.
 
As a marketplace, Wonolo has two sides – demand, which acquires and grows companies needing workers (“Requestors”), and supply, which acquires and grows workers needing jobs (“Wonoloers”).  
 
We are looking for a Key Account Manager to launch, manage, and scale key partnerships for Wonolo. These partnerships spread across a number of verticals including retail, business services, and distribution/logistics. In this role, you will join a team that loves the Wonolo mission, business strategy, building new opportunities, and growing relationships. You will be on the leading edge of helping shape the future of work.

What You'll Do:

    • Launch, manage, and grow key accounts to align with and exceed Wonolo’s objectives and key metrics
    • Meet or exceed all assigned growth/expansion/retention revenue targets against a defined book of accounts - own your number
    • Structure, negotiate, execute, and implement strategic initiatives including account renewals
    • Build and share learnings and best practices based on key accounts performance and effectiveness
    • Strategically consult internally/externally to solve customer pain points and achieve business goals
    • Scale key account programs that drive market share, account expansion and job diversification
    • Create strong relationships with Wonolo marketplace team to ensure the success of our key accounts.
    • Develop and maintain cross-functional relationships across the company and act as a liaison between Wonolo and partner organizations
    • Own all reporting of the key account segment, participating in regular business reviews with leadership and stakeholders.
    • Drive quarterly or monthly business reviews with key accounts to align on upcoming opportunities
    • Act as a primary point of contact for key accounts to ensure account support and satisfaction
    • Represent partners internally and Wonolo externally with partners’ management teams

Who You Are:

      • 3-5+ years of business development, strategic account management, and/or consultative sales experience
      • Strong business acumen
      • Territory and pipeline management skills
      • Strong understanding and previous experience working with contractual agreements
      • Highly analytical, strategic thinker and data-driven, but also a creative problem solver
      • Ability to make thoughtful, actionable recommendations under minimal structure, and quickly build consensus with internal and external stakeholders
      • Collegial, high energy, and persistent personality, and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
      • Familiarity with the staffing landscape a plus
      • Experience with 2-sided marketplaces and/or start-ups a plus
