Job Description

Fast-growing Life Science data company is looking for experienced Japanese-speaking research analysts.  Ideal candidates speak Japanese fluently and have some life science, pharmaceutical, or financial market data experience.

Our SAAS platform comprises of healthcare providers, organizations and related claims, clinical trials, publications, and other assets. We use technology heavily to gather and process data on these topics, and as a Research Analyst, you will be responsible for validating the quality of our data collection, and doing additional manual collection where our technology does not provide the necessary level of granularity and/or accuracy.

Candidate must be curious, motivated, interested in the work we’re trying to do and the problems we are trying to solve to ultimately improve patients’ lives.

This is a contract position working remote (in the US) 29 hours a week for a four month commitment, paying $25 per hour. After the 4 month period, if this person demonstrates the right skillset and passion for our business they will be considered for a full-time position with H1 Insights.


        Learning and staying current with all guidelines and procedures for various data sets
        Validation of QA reports of both machine-read data inputs and manual entry
        Projects will be primarily be working with Japanese healthcare data
        Maintain consistency and integrity of data collection
        Manual entry of corrections and in some cases, updates
        Recommendations for process/performance improvement initiatives and quality management
        Feedback for automation improvements
        Collaboration with team members across the US and internationally


        Fluent Japanese speaker, required
        Bachelor's Degree in Basic Sciences or related field, required
        Minimum of two years progressively responsible related work experience
        Experience working in the Life Sciences or healthcare
        Knowledge of research methods, data analysis, quality metrics
        Working knowledge of Japanese medical system preferred
        Any experience using SQL is a plus.
        Will consider management experience, so long as candidate expects to remain hands on
