About the Role

We are looking to hire an experienced HR Associate to join our HR team and contribute to Gemini’s fast-paced growth plans for 2021 and beyond. In this key role, you will report to the Chief People Officer and be responsible for obtaining and recording HR information, managing the HRIS (once you help us implement it!) and generally assist employees with on-boarding, off-boarding, benefits enrollment, HR questions and more. You will also work on special projects throughout the year that touch on Learning & Development, Wellness, Return to Work strategies, and provide support for governance related work that is presented to the Compensation Committee and Board of Directors.

To ensure success as an HR Associate, you should have excellent communication skills, top notch interpersonal skills, and a good understanding of employment law. You should also enjoy building processes, improving existing operating practices, like helping people, and juggle and prioritize lots of work. You should be approachable, have a sense of humor, be super-efficient (but effective) and enjoy variety. You should also be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality and trust, including handling highly sensitive and confidential information.

HR Associate Responsibilities:

  • Talent Acquisition & Employment Brand
    • Communicating with potential job candidates.
    • Maintaining our social media presence (e.g. LinkedIn Corporate Page)
    • Contacting candidate references and verifying education listings.
    • Coordinating interview schedules and helping to manage partnerships with agencies and search partners
    • Maintaining our Applicant Tracking System
    • Producing insightful reports on how we are doing in terms of cost, yield, and quality
  • Record Management & Compliance
    • Managing HR records including, résumés, applicant logs, and employee forms.
    • Issuing employment contracts and verifying completion.
    • Issuing new employees with enrollment documents.
    • Partnering with finance on payroll and benefits related matters
    • Conducting employee records audit to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Employee Experience
    • Conducting employee orientations.
    • Explaining employee benefits.
    • Responding to HR-related queries within the company.
    • Assisting with training strategies, scheduling, reporting, etc.
  • Other HR Support
    • Assisting in employee benefit planning, enrollment & administration
    • Keeping up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practice.
    • Performing other related administrative and HR duties as assigned
    • Developing, conducting and summarizing internal and external surveys to gather information for policy development and planning.

 

HR Associate Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of previous experience working in Human Resources.
  • Knowledge of database software, email systems, and office software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of employment law.
  • Empathy and an approachable demeanor.
  • Attentiveness and honesty.
  • Ability to work independently but willingness to ask for help when appropriate
  • Willingness to pitch in outside your swim lane
  • Highly detailed oriented, creative and strong sense of follow through
