We’re looking for a Sr. Manager of Employee Experience to help design and build an amazing employee experience model for Sonder.  This critical role will have a focus on being the champion of the employee experience.  They will also own leading internal communications for HR. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being both creative and strategic and who has a true passion for delivering meaningful experiences. This role will be highly visible in the organization.

AT SONDER YOU WILL:

  • Lead and own execution of company-wide level employee engagement activities (i.e. Speaker Programs, Recognition, etc.) by producing scalable, outside of the box programs reinforcing our mission and values while building the best culture in the world
  • Lead projects and initiatives that support the Sonder Employee Lifecycle
  • Support the diversity and inclusion team to help build a culture and employee experience which inspires and motivates employees
  • Manage internal communications for the HR department (i.e., newsletters, program launches, updates, SLT letters, etc.)
  • Build and maintain employee recognition programs and events that drive engagement and a strong sense of community
  • Support the Sr. Director of Learning and Development in acting as a thought leader on policies, procedures and programs as it relates to organizational development and the employee experience
  • Proactively identify and solve for process inefficiencies, highlight and recommend improvements

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Organizational Development, or relevant field
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience in Employee Engagement and Communications
  • Demonstrated success in building, delivering, and measuring high-impact employee experiences to a diverse audience
  • Demonstrated strength in personal leadership, driving results, and relationship-building 
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills (listening, verbal, and written) skills to tailor information and communication style to different audiences including senior leadership 
  • Track record of delivering results through influence and negotiation across all levels of the organization
  • Strong project management skills with ability to independently identify and prioritize as needed to meet the shifting demands of the business and take initiatives successfully from concept to implementation; Must be capable of multitasking in a busy, high volume environment and have the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines
  • Experience using data to identify insights and problem-solve and ability to switch seamlessly between strategic thinking and tactical execution
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Google Suite, Zoom and project management applications; Asana experience a plus
  • Thrive on autonomy and can navigate ambiguity
  • Comfortable rolling up sleeves and getting hands dirty
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Event planning experience is a bonus
  • Ability to travel as needed
