About the role:

Mynd is looking for a Head of Content (HoC) to implement and execute Mynd’s content strategy, creation/production, distribution, and analytics. This role plays a crucial part in building Mynd’s content machine; tell our story and promote our value propositions across multiple channels and through a variety of content formats (video, e-books, white papers, email, presentations, etc).

The Head of Content is a cross-functional leader+ and thought partner, working closely with other departments to meet initiatives and goals. The HoC will ensure that content requests from departments are properly addressed by ensuring the right content is produced, reviewed by the relevant stakeholders and distributed to the appropriate channel(s). The ideal candidate is both creative and analytical, has a mastery of SEO and experience owning creative services implementations within an organization.

This position reports directly to the VP of Marketing.  Agency background is a plus.

Responsibilities:  

  • Ensure all formats of content are on brand, consistent, and distributed to the correct channel(s)
  • Create quarterly content themes and manage a monthly content calendar to coincide with quarterly theme(s). Ensure the content strategy reflects Mynd’s brand positioning and value propositions
  • Work with in-house and external resources (designers, illustrators, copy writers, & more) to create content in a variety of formats including video, flyers, written blogs, PowerPoints, signage, promotional materials
  • Analyze website analytics (Google Analytics and other tools) and partner with SEO consultants to ensure the right content is produced to help increase traffic and improve rankings. Perform data-driven analysis of programs, including a test & learn approach to support the optimization of marketing campaigns programs
  • Define and track content-specific metrics for data-informed improvements; to optimize performance (both individual & team), provide continuous feedback for improvements, and identify new content opportunities
  • Leverage a basic level of SEO understanding to help optimize content to help improve rankings for all of Mynd's markets
  • Work collaboratively with other Mynd departments (Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, Partnerships, Growth, Talent & Culture, and more) on cross-functional initiatives. Including but not limited to; website conversions, increase social engagement, and provide content for other team’s goals/initiatives
  • Build and lead the future of content marketing; mentor and coach junior level colleagues in initiatives that will drive traffic, engagement, leads, deliver sales, and increase customer retention

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field (marketing, communications or journalism preferred); or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience 
  • Brand-focused content developer experience; an expert storyteller 
  • Ability to ensure projects are executed swiftly to navigate a matrix organization and lead cross-functionally. Agency experience a plus
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong customer empathy with a hyper-focus on what resonates with the target audience
  • Self-starter, willing to roll up their sleeves and pitch in where needed. Must thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and highly collaborative
  • Core understanding of SEO and optimization of content (SEO experience a plus, but not required)
  • Experience with data analytical tools such as Google Analytics and SEM Rush
  • Passion for real estate
