The LIS (Laboratory Information System) Manager has three primary areas of responsibility:
1. Responsible for troubleshooting, systems upgrade and regulatory compliance of the laboratory information system
2. Supporting laboratory operations by managing the day to day operation and maintenance of the Lab Information Systems. 
3. Managing the provision of support to both internal and external customers
You will proactively assist in the maintenance and improvement of systems and procedures so the laboratory functions as effectively and efficiently as possible. You will have a strong customer focus and the skills required to communicate effectively with both end users and system developers. You will play an active role in maintaining a positive team environment across the company.
You will be familiar with and follow all policies and procedures in the organization that provide guidance and set down requirements for all people working at Everlywell Diagnostics and will understand and follow all appropriate industry codes of ethics and relevant legislation.
You will become intimately familiar with all facets of LabDAQ and the integration with Everlywell, including related systems and processes. You will develop a clear understanding of the laboratory and how it utilizes Harvest and Copia systems.  You will be able to identify and understand issues that may impact the day to day operations of the laboratory as well as be able to offer support and advice to both end users and management.

What You'll Do:

      • Collaborates with the Laboratory Director and laboratory staff to ensure lab activities and support are integrated into the strategic and tactical planning for LIS.
      • Leading the planning for and scheduling of LIS related enhancements
      • Responsible for the strategic business use of and improvements to the data management and utilization across all functions in lab operations.
      • Partner with internal laboratory departments and leaders across Everlywell to provide insight and specific solutions to organization needs around lab, customer and operating data and information.
      • Recognizes system failures and takes effective corrective action to resolve.
      • Assist with establishing policies, guidelines, metrics and templates.
      • Reviews LIS interfacing and monitors systems status, system errors, system messages, printing, auto-printing, scheduled reports, collection lists, labels, pendings, backups, background job summaries, disk space, extracts, updates and modifications.
      • Prepares, communicates and maintains plans, ensuring all requirements and objectives are properly documented and budgets are managed.
      • Documents all specific maintenance performed for regulatory compliance. Manages and monitors security of the LIS system to ensure proper functioning.
      • Ensures department processes comply with regulatory requirements standards are followed and met.
      • Checks all interfacing to and from other internal and external systems.
      • Looks for ways to streamline processes and tools.
      • Overall Technical direction and interfaces to Instrument validation, Order Entry, Result Reporting, Billing and Claims
      • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and consultants

Who You Are:

    • 3+ years Experience with Lab Information Systems in a diagnostic laboratory.  Experience with LabDaq or similar systems is a plus. 
    • 2+ years experience with SQL and Reporting 
    • 3+ years experience with Analyzer Integration 
    • Proficient with Python or similar languages 
    • 1+ years experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
