ArsenalBio’s mission is to develop efficacious and safe cellular therapies for patients with chronic diseases, initially cancer.  Our products are being designed to herald the transition of adoptive cell therapy from a hospital based treatment to outpatient therapy, like most other cancer treatments.  Our people are our greatest asset, they bring scientific talents in molecular biology, immunology, pharmacology, protein chemistry, computational biology, automation, genome engineering, software and other fields to make the future happen now.
 
ArsenalBio is seeking a Senior/Staff Scientist to lead our oncology target discovery as a part of our efforts to develop and commercialize curative immune cell therapies. This candidate will be primarily responsible for identification, prioritization, and early validation of targetable moieties using RNA and protein-based approaches.

  • Lead efforts to identify target antigens for oncology CAR T applications
  • Identify in silico resources for target elucidation and de-risking  
  • Develop RNA- and protein-based platforms to validate lead target expression profiles 
  • Identify and develop reagents to enable target validation
  • Coordinate cell line engineering activities to confirm cell surface expression and enable screening platform development
  • Maintain familiarity with the relevant current literature and its application to binder discovery, screening methodologies, synthetic biology and cell therapy
  • Coordinate tasks across multiple projects, demonstrating prioritization and planning
  • Interpret and effectively execute experiments in line with project timelines and goals
  • Recruit and mentor junior scientists and research associates with relevant expertise
  • PhD in cancer, molecular or cellular biology or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant research experience in industry or academia
  • Experience with RNA and/or protein-based cell surface target discovery and validation approaches
  • Experience with mass-spectroscopy based discovery and validation approaches
  • Experience with protein-based abundance assessments including ELISA, flow cytometry, luminex, MSD, IHC, and western blotting
  • Experience supervising junior research technicians and scientists
  • Entrepreneurial behaviors demonstrated by agility, accountability, transparency, resourcefulness, and ability to get things done
  • Demonstrated ability to perform as a team player
