We are seeking a Vice President of Product Management to join our growing team!
A Day in the Life:
- Manages and directs Product Management team and programs for the organization
- Responsible for delivering business value to drive sales & revenue, improve efficiency and customer satisfaction through the production of quality products
- Focuses on delivering value by leading the strategic vision and product roadmap across the customer journey and ensuring all products within their portfolio are aligned to the vision and business goals
- Reports to the General Manager
- Works remotely
We are looking for someone who:
- Drives business reviews, communicates the product strategy and vision and present across all levels of the organization
- Works with marketing and sales teams to develop launch plans and customer-facing communications strategies
- Collaborates with client support teams and technology partners on delivering new capabilities and enhancements
- Coordinates timely launch of new products across the organization to maximize impact on the business
- Owns and manages the PI process
- Develops portfolio pricing strategy
- Identifies market needs and trends translates them into Epics
- Owns vision and roadmap for the portfolio coordinates and collaborates with PM
- Assists in program backlog prioritization
- Develops both short and long-term strategic plans and implements actions to achieve results
- Creates and manages product costing, program ROI’s and expense budget
- Is responsible for product delivery schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development by coordination with sales, marketing, development, and operations to successfully release new products on time and within budget
- Interacts with customers to understand their needs and to promote new products
Manage Staff- Responsibilities include:
- Providing employees timely, candid and constructive feedback
- Develop employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth
- Develop the appropriate talent pool to insure adequate bench strength and succession planning
- Supervise the orientation and training of new employees
- Recommend salary increases, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions and dismissals in conformance with company policies and procedures
- Conduct annual performance reviews
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required:
- Typically requires 10-15 years of managerial experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 10-15 years in technology project management or product strategy; a focus on consumer-facing products (Event Industry a plus)
- 10-15 years in software development (Small to enterprise SaaS & Services Experience)
- Competitive Intelligence, Functional Specification, New Product Development, New Product Introduction, Product Demonstration, Product Management, Product Management Lifecycle (PMLC), Product Requirements, Product Research, Product Strategy, Roadmaps Management, Software Requirements Specification, User Research, Web Design, Web Development, Application lifecycle management (ALM) Software, Bug Tracking Software
- Proven track record building successful relationships and partnerships at all organizational levels, internally, externally, intra and interdepartmentally
- Strong client focus with exceptional collaborative and influencing skills
- Excellent analytical skills with experience in information and data analysis, impact analysis, cost-benefit analysis, ROI, and globally integrated solutions with ability to interpret data to make fact-based decisions
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Excellent relationship building skills and ability to engage, coach and support engineering, product management, business development, and marketing team members
- Proficient in basic spreadsheet applications such as Excel, Microsoft Word, etc.
- Demonstrate ability to learn and understand various computer systems
Working conditions and essential functions:
- Normal office environment
- Extended viewing of computer screens
- Some overnight travel required
- Frequently sits at a computer terminal and desk
- Frequently walks to other areas within or outside of the department to distribute or gather information
- Occasional standing; occasional lifting moderate loads up to 25 lbs.; frequent bending
- Stooping, crouching while filing; occasional reaching, twisting, turning
- Frequent handling of files, pencils, paper; frequent keyboarding, writing and other duties requiring fingering
- Continuous hearing
- Use of near/midrange/far vision and speaking to disseminate information
