We are looking to hire an Ansible Automation Engineer who will be responsible for develop, implement, and assess specific new and emerging technologies, platforms, and automation services in data center operations. Apply specific functional knowledge, working, and general industry knowledge as a deployment automation engineer. May develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance, may review or guide activities of more junior employees.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a DevOps engineer or at least 5 years of experience as a system administratorengineer with strong programing or scripting capabilities and strong knowledge DevOps related concepts
- Experience in architecting and organizing an automation environment using Ansible
- Act as Ansible SME and mentor for other admins and developers
- Experience with developing CI/CD DevOps pipelines, Python, Ansible.
- Experience in the creation/modification of Job, Templates, Project, Inventories, Workflows, management of secrets and other Ansible Tower/AWX objects.
- Good knowledge on supporting Application Deployments, Infra Management & Monitoring, JIRA
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and version control (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOpsTFS, Git, Nexus/Artifactory)
- Proven experience with Windows and/or Linux operation systems (configure, troubleshooting and deployment)
- Good understanding of infrastructure related components and protocols: Active Directory, DNS, TCPIP, Load balancing, PKI, Firewalls and routing.
- Evangelize DevOps best practices
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to lead technical discussion
- Understanding of best practices to achieve app stability and reliability
- Configuration management, release management, deployment experience
- Networking, load balancing, monitoring, log analysis and related tools etc.
- Ability to manage multiple projects of varying scopes concurrently, while meeting all timelines.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience with writing scripts in development languages
- 3+ years of experience in writing automation scripts in Ansible and IT / Solutions development
- Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux OS and shell scripts
- Knowledge of Python 3.x
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
