What you will be doing

Evaluating, designing, and implementing manufacturing processes that result in high-quality products. Driving product development in 3D CAD/CAM and evaluating and working with manufacturing partners to determine suitable materials and procedures for use during product development.

You must have

  • B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field
  • 5+ years experience in the field 
  • Hands-on product development skills
  • Strong experience in CNC, Injection molding, and casting processes and methods.
  • Strong experience in industrial and manufacturing design and CAD
  • Strong experience in design for manufacture, manufacturing process design and validation
  • Expertise in materials properties (e.g. plastics, aluminum, copper, steel, etc.)
  • Experience with contract manufacturing management and value engineering 
  • Experience with GDT - dimensional tolerance stack-up analysis 
  • Strong prototyping and mockup experience

You should have

  • Strong experience in Autodesk Inventor (or SolidWorks)
  • Experience industrial design and user experience
  • Experience with electro-mechanical system design
  • Experience with materials finishing and coatings

It’s helpful to have

  • Experience with sourcing and supply chain management 
  • Experience with custom polymer compounding 
  • Quality assurance certification
