Job Description

Receipt Bank is building the essential product suite powering accountants to get small business financially fit. We are a digital accounting software suite, trusted by over 400,000 businesses.

What we do: Receipt Bank fetches and sorts live cost and bank data from multiple sources and gives accountants tools to get their small business clients financially fit.

Why we do it: Financial admin is a massive source of stress to businesses. It is time consuming and distracts you from running your company and doing what you love. If you let it pile up, it becomes even more costly both in terms of time and higher tax bills as you miss out on unclaimed company expenses.

Accountants do their jobs to help business, but are tied down by manual processes. Business owners don’t start-up to end up drowning in admin. Receipt Bank automates admin to help 50,000+ accountants save time and money for their clients, and grow.

As a SaaS business, the growth in new monthly recurring revenue (MRR) is a key metric. The newly created role will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing sales team to drive MRR growth for Receipt Bank. This role manages lead conversion, process improvements and personal development for the New Sales Team, which consists of both inside sales and field-based sales.

The role - what you’ll do:

  • Managing the recruiting, training and exiting of the New Sales team, consisting of both inside sales and field sales representatives
  • Leading the ongoing coaching and developing of the team
  • Motivating team to achieve new monthly recurring revenue objectives
  • Forecasting and managing the lead to new sales conversions
  • Identify opportunities and implement solutions to continuously improve sales process
  • Overseeing the capacity planning of headcount and roles
  • Contributing to the direction and growth of the Canadian business
  • Working with Marketing to ensure sufficient lead volume and quality
  • Actively participating in lead generation activities


About you - what we are looking for:

  • At least 2 years experience and success in a sales leadership role
  • Achievement-oriented, highly motivated, ambitious and competitive
  • Resilient, tenacious and driven
  • Proven experience developing a top-performing sales team
  • Analytical and loves working with data
  • Not afraid to think outside of the box to come up with creative solutions for problems
  • Experience of constantly exceeding targets as an individual hunter (so you know just how to motivate others to achieve the same)
  • Exceptional at building relationships with colleagues and well respected as a leader
  • Thrives in a fast-paced transactional environment
  • Strong and proven coaching skills
  • Software or SaaS experience favourable
  • Preferably English/French bilingual
