Job Description

The Facilities Manager is responsible for managing Neurona Therapeutics facilities including the dedicated cGMP clinical manufacturing suites and quality control laboratories. This role provides leadership to the day-to-day functions that include organization and management, non GMP and GMP maintenance of the warehouse and clinical suite. The Facilities Manager is also responsible for increasing operational efficiency and proactively ensuring a safe work environment. This role is key in maintaining the facilities in accordance to federal and state agencies. The individual will organize and participate in vendor negotiations, product and software evaluations, tutorials and facility modifications.

The Facilities Manager reports to the Director of Operations
 
Position Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement facilities policies and practices.
  • Oversee planning activities, including direct space allocations, moves, and facilities construction, modification and maintenance.
  • Review and approve equipment and facilities related contracts and vendor qualifications.
  • Facilities inventory and stockroom management, as well as dedicated shipping and receiving
  • Develop and monitor facilities related budgets.
  • Oversee cleaning of critical environments and eventually bio-decontamination
  • Oversee emergencies, critical events, and monitoring systems
  • Coordinates calibrations and preventive maintenance of equipment in non-GMP and GMP areas
  • Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
  • Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Interface with employee health and safety and acts as a liaison between departments.
  • Act as a functional area reviewer for SOPs and work instructions
  • Evaluate performance metrics to ensure cost-efficient work-flow processes.
  • Point of contact for all facilities infrastructure onboarding and providing guidance to all staff.
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • 5 - 8 years related experience. Experience in managing GMP environment a plus.
  • Previous facilities management experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and management skills as well as a “can do” attitude.
