Job Description

The Director of Channel Operations responsible for developing and deploying the global channel sales strategy, including setting up the processes and tools that will help deliver predictable, visible and repeatable results.  This includes leading the implementation and scaling of a global partner program, focusing on attracting and incentivizing Value Added Resellers, Cloud Service Providers, Regional Systems Integrators and Adjacent Technology Partners to sell the Plume suite of services.  A successful candidate will be able to build a clear strategy and then implement and manage it at scale.  This is a high-impact role for a proactive individual looking to build a globally channel and partner program.

  • Help build and implement an efficient and successful channel program. 
  • Lead the strategy, implementation and then continually improve upon a globally scalable channel partner program.
  • Understand, recommend and implement channel enablement tools to improve efficiency and increase scale. 
  • Work closely with the Business Development, Sales, Marketing and Finance teams to develop KPIs that can be tracked and measured as part of channel reporting and partner dashboards.
  • Initiate and lead projects designed to improve sales results, increase productivity/efficiency and/or reduce costs. 
  • Be the expert on all aspects of the partner program. 
  • Develop messaging, including the value proposition of the partner program.
  • Partner with Marketing and other teams to build program materials including sales sheets, policies and training.
  • Define and manage the deal registration process with alignment with the Sales team.
  • Manage and summarize weekly pipeline reviews with Channel Development Representatives.


  • 7+ years experience in channel operations, sales operations or a business operations role.
  • Experience and knowledge of SaaS partner models.
  • Strong Excel financial and data modeling skills.
  • Experience using PRM systems and Salesforce (or similar sales CRM tool)
  • Cross-functional leadership experience with sales, marketing and finance teams.
  • Excellent deductive reasoning, analytical, verbal and written communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Executive level relationship management.
  • BA/BS required.
  • Must be a builder with superior organizational skills.
  • Location: US - Remote

Bonus experience:

  • Previously built and launched a successful partner program.
  • Industry specific experience.
  • Experience with SaaS or cloud based applications to the Enterprise is desired.
