  • understand the product, market & business metrics and how organic growth from google search fits into the overall growth model. become a product evangelist first
  • be responsible for driving intent traffic to CRED web pages using seo. this would typically involve on & off page optimisations, blogger outreach for guest blogging
  • work on the web charter to define what we should be building on the web and what is the potential upside from a search volume POV
  • run landing page experiments at scale to test hypotheses and move traction generating mvps to full fledged web acquisition products.
  • have 4-7 years experience working on search engine optimization for a consumer brand with web products. fintech/banking seo experience would be a plus
  • understand how to go from 1 to 100 on SEO from a technical & content (creation + distribution) SEO point of view
  • know how to get on page optimisation including site structure analysis, competition analysis, keyword research, finalization, density analysis and placement
  • understand web content optimization, HTML validation, creation of XML site map, content development stack, brief keyword competition review tags & anchor texts
  • understand off page optimization including directory submission, article submission, press release submission, link building etc. essentially you being in the content ecosystem is the core
  • know how to visualise, understand and action data from google analytics
  • have expert level understanding of wordpress, prismic and have worked on it to scale multiple complex catalog based sitemaps. imagine Zomato (restaurants as lever), amazon (stores as anchor) or financial websites (credit card reviews & comparison)
  • are data oriented, and believe that everything can be measured, since “what gets measured gets improved” eventually
  • have a good understanding of funnels, sprint & agile ways of working, creative wireframes & marketing briefs
  • are comfortable with ambiguity, believe in first principles and have the skill to transform broad ideas into action plans
  • have empathy towards users and colleagues, are creative and excited by ideating/ building
  • have business acumen to appreciate and understand levers for business growth and profitability
  •  seek high ownership, independent environments and feedback oriented cultures.
