Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic individual that can help us scale our business sales operations and processes, shaping internal policies and developing strategy. Sales Operations Manager will report directly to the CRO and be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a number of key sales related activities.

As a growth-stage company we are looking for someone that is both able to lead the company’s development efforts and contribute individually and grow along with us. A successful candidate will have the ability to work autonomously and be deadline driven.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the sales funnel - managing the sales lead and opportunity pipeline with a focus on improving conversion
  • Defining and optimizing the sales process steps to improve conversions, shorten sales cycles, and maximize wins
  • Implement and manage sales automation tools, Salesforce and the Salesforce ecosystem, in collaboration with operations
  • Manage and improve our Salesforce CRM data - account, opportunity, and contact data, improving data quality, cleansing, creation, indexing, and territory updates
  • Perform Sales forecasting for goal setting, using past data and indicators
  • Ensure full adoption of Salesforce as well as supporting the user base/sales team
  • Assisting with and generating the data for sales representative compensation plans and incentives
  • Ensure full adoption of SFDC, and improve sales rep efficiency with Salesforce - improving lead management, improvement in transactional proficiency and time management
  • Provide training and sales enablement, in collaboration with Product Management and Marketing, on sales and Salesforce processes, products/product launches and markets
  • Reporting sales and campaign results
  • Communicating news and wins
  • Organizing and maintaining sales collateral for access by reps, including RFP, DD etc.
  • Serve as a “chief of staff” to the revenue/sales leader
  • Hiring and onboarding employees and mentoring current ones
  • Playing a key role in sales and operations planning (S&OP), a process where executives continuously align diverse functions in an organization
  • Interpreting analytics and research for the company’s understanding
  • Using internal data, along with market and competitor research, to help drive sales strategy and “hit the numbers”
  • Using “big data,” complex data sets requiring sophisticated analysis, for advanced interpretation and predictive analytics to drive strategy and actions
  • Working with operations to understand jurisdictional/regulatory and implement training.

 

Skills/Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or related field.
  • 5-8 years relevant experience integrating and supporting sales processes in a Sales Operations capacity
  • 4-6 years managing user experience and adoption in Salesforce.com Sales Cloud and the Salesforce ecosystem; HubSpot is a plus.
  • High level of proficiency in Salesforce Lightning and Salesforce.com administrative tasks such as creating user profiles, roles, custom objects, custom fields, reports, dashboards
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of sales business processes including forecasting, territory and quote establishment, and lead funnel management
  • Experience with Clari, DOMO or other data analytics / business intelligence platform preferred.
  • A self-starter able to work independently and consider cross-functional and downstream impacts with close attention to detail
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills across teams and levels with an emphasis on customer first attitude
  • Team player and comfortable working with a globally distributed team with a positive and engaged personality. Ability to work well with a high level of autonomy and trust

Reporting Relationship:  Reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer 

Location: New York, Bay Area, Remote
