The Role

The leader for Pantheon’s Compensation, Benefits and People Systems will be an innovator with strategic vision and an operator’s ability to execute. You will partner with the Chief People Officer and Head of People Experience to ensure that all Total Rewards programs align with the goals of the company and support our unique culture by attracting, retaining, and rewarding employees.

The successful Candidate will have the unique opportunity to plan, design, and implement all of our compensation, benefits, rewards and people systems processes and programs in order to maintain our objectives, as well as compliance with all global and country laws and regulations. 

  • Compensation responsibilities include base and total cash compensation programs,  salary structures and developing salary budgets, stock-based compensation plans, and recognition and reward programs in partnership with the Finance team, and job evaluation and performance management processes. 
  • Benefits responsibilities include wellness, life, health, disability including negotiating coverage and costs with carriers, and in partnership with finance managing the benefits budget. 
  • People systems includes the HRIS, and any people related systems such as performance management and feedback platforms, survey tools and data analysis tools.

This role reports to the Chief People Officer.

This leader will come into the role without a playbook, but should have a history of driving innovation and finding new solutions, which lead to tangible results and compensation and equity programs that align senior management with shareholder value and drive achievement of business objectives. They will also continuously see around corners to anticipate future compensation and benefit needs and have strategies in place to meet the needs of rapidly scaling teams.

The qualified candidate will also have a proven track record of seamlessly integrating and minimizing any people systems, ensuring a great user experience and efficient outcomes using rich data.

You will have experience working in fast-paced, technology-driven environments and will have served as a critical member of a leadership team in helping a business scale rapidly. You will have demonstrated the ability to strike the right balance between speed/flexibility and process/compliance, deploying a highly analytical approach to ensure that the organization rigorously measures and analyzes the right things to drive success. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in compensation and benefits, complemented by broad HR expertise 
  • An undergraduate degree is required 

Preferred Qualifications

  • A high degree of integrity, personally and professionally
  • An ability to engage on strategic business matters at both the conceptual and tactical levels
  • Superior communication skills (written, verbal, and listening).
  • Master’s degree in HR, Finance or MBA
  • Certification as a Compensation and/or Benefits Professional desirable
    • 12-15 years of experience in human resources with at least 5 years building best-in-class Benefits, Compensation and HR Systems programs
