Job Description

Here at SeatGeek, we believe in our team being a key unfair advantage and building the best possible workplace. We’ve been voted a best place to work in NYC, Oregon, and by Glassdoor, and now we’re looking for an HR Specialist as we continue to scale our team and our people processes.

Reporting into our HRBP, People Programs you’ll have your hand in a variety of work across the HR and People function, with a specific focus on data integrity. Our employee experience is top priority, and the work you’ll be doing is critical to making sure our employees are supported.

What you'll do

  • Be the first point of contact - and a SeatGeek ambassador - for our new hires and employees. Monitor our HR communication channels and provide timely responses to general HR questions.
  • Own employee onboarding. You'll collect and file new hire paperwork, coordinate various account setups, and schedule onboarding sessions, all while finding new ways to improve our new hire experience.
  • Maintain and update employee data in our HRIS and other internal systems. Including responsibility of our employee offboarding process to ensure systems and access is shut down accordingly.
  • Maintain data integrity across all HR platforms and tools.
  • Manage requests from vendors and regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain our internal Wiki and other sources of HR-esque information.
  • Provide overall administrative support to the HR team.
  • Help with people program work as needed, like our performance review process, compensation review, engagement survey, and more.
  • Stay on top of the latest industry trends and propose new initiatives to help us in our quest to be one of the best places to work!

What you have

Your friends and colleagues would describe you as bright, self-directed, and highly empathetic. You work in HR because you are motivated by a genuine desire to help others. You probably also have:

  • 1+ years of related HR experience.
  • Experience using an HRIS, preferably Ultipro.
  • Outstanding people skills. You are a great communicator and are able to work well with everyone.
  • The ability to handle sensitive information with utmost compassion and discretion.
  • Great attention to detail and superb organizational skills.
  • Proactive and on your watch, nothing slips through the cracks (and if it does, you already have a plan B ready to go).

Perks

  • Equity stake in a well-funded growth stage company
  • A superb benefits package that supports health/dental/vision. We also provide annual subscriptions to Headspace, Ginger.io, and One Medical
  • A focus on transparency. We have regular company meetings and Q&A panels where employees can chat openly with teams across SeatGeek, our co-founders, and external guests from the industry
  • Although this perk is currently on pause, we can’t help but talk about it. SeatGeek employees receive a monthly ticket-purchase stipend, and we cannot wait to get back to safely attending the live events that we so dearly miss
  • Covid-19 Response: We’re not expecting employees to return to the office until July 2021 at the earliest. Once it’s again safe to do so, we look forward to welcoming people back to our offices.
