Job Description

COMPANY MISSION:

At eGenesis, we aspire to deliver safe and effective human transplantable cells, tissue and organs utilizing the latest advancements in genome editing.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a motivated and experienced research associate to join our team and contribute to cell line construction. The candidate should have a strong background in cell biology, including primary cell isolation, culture, and transfection. The candidate will be a member of the genome engineering team and report to a senior scientist. This is a full-time position. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to practice cutting-edge genome engineering techniques and make an impact to human health.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Isolate, culture, passage, and freeze primary cells
  • Perform transfection to deliver gene editing reagents into cells
  • Characterize cells by Next Gen Sequencing, PCR, and FACS analysis
  • Prepare medium and common reagents
  • Enter experiments and sample registrations into ELN
  • Summarize and present data to the group
  • Adhere to guidelines for personnel and laboratory safety and environment protection

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/MS degree in cell biology, molecular biology, animal science or related discipline
  • Minimally 2 years of cell culture experience in academia or industry
  • Experience in mammalian primary cell culture
  • Previous exposure to FACS analysis
  • Candidate with hands-on experience with general molecular biology techniques, including molecular cloning, plasmid isolation, PCR, NGS will be given preference
  • Attention to detail, strong organization skills, and ability to prioritize and multitask efficiently in a result-oriented, dynamic environment
  • Willing to collaborate and contribute to team goals
  • Good oral and written communication skills
