Curology is creating the next generation of skincare through customized treatment plans and formulas with powerful prescription ingredients for acne and anti-aging. We believe great skin shouldn’t be a luxury, but a fact of life.
 
We are looking for a qualified and motivated Senior Packaging Designer to join our growing team. Qualified candidates will have a strong background in graphic design, understanding of typography, experience in brand building, and knowledge of packaging structures. They will understand how to bring products to life by telling compelling visual stories through presentations. What you'll do

    • Collaborate with the creative teams and the product development team to elevate, innovate on our overall packaging design experience.
    • Design functional packaging and incorporate different materials, processes and finishes.
    • Consider structure, unboxing experience, and shelf stand-out
    • Lead the packaging design process from ideation to pre production including brainstorming, sketching and creating digital renderings & physical prototypes.
    • Work cross-functionally to gather requirements, information, and sign-off on designs
    • Prepare and finalize all packaging artwork for production
    • Evaluate consumer and market trends for packaging materials
    • Collaborate with the product development team to ensure the quality of the manufacturing process and final output.
    • Work with Associate Creative Director of Design and Senior Designers to create and iterate on a packaging design system that elevates our product and ensures brand consistency across all touch points.
    • Design concepts in 2D and 3D while also building physical prototypes.
    • Coordinate with the product control team to ensure quality
    • Continue to stay up to date on latest industry trends and technology.
    • Work with ACD and Senior Designers to optimize and streamline the packaging process to ensure scalability.
    • Create standards and build packaging guidelines as we continue to expand our anti-aging brand.
    • Help strategize new opportunities and improvements to consumer experience as they relate to packaging.

What we're looking for

    • 3 - 4 years of experience
    • BA/BS in Industrial Design/Packaging Engineer or equivalent practical experience.
    • A great portfolio of work showing your proven ability.
    • Proficiency in hand sketching skills and 3-D renderings.
    • Experience with 3d CAD software, Solidworks preferred.
    • Ability to quickly translate design direction into design solutions.
    • Strong model making skills: ability to quickly mock-up concepts, prototypes, from concept to finished appearance models.
    • A fluency in prototyping and manufacturing methods.
    • Solid understanding and desire to keep up to date with innovation trends, industry trends, and design trends
