Serving Fortune 2000 clients, we deliver B2B and B2C products to make hiring and talent management more fair, efficient, and effective. pymetrics is looking for a great product designer to help lead the design strategy and execution of these products to ensure they are as intuitive, delightful, and scalable as possible.
The Role
As the Software Product Designer at pymetrics, your ideas and vision will help drive how our users experience our products every day. You will partner and collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and customer facing teams to expand pymetrics offerings by designing and building new products and optimizing our existing products.
You will own the end to end design process from user research and discovery through creating detailed UI/prototypes and presenting them to your team and leadership. You'll play a key role in developing the strategy and designs for self-service tooling within our product as we continue to develop new ways to make complex data processes simple for our clients to understand, interact with, and set up quickly. To be successful in this role, you should have experience in user research, design, and wireframing tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design process for new products, while optimizing user interface designs for existing products through user research and testing.
- Partner with product managers to conduct user research in order to understand use cases, and create user flows and wireframes.
- Facilitate user testing to validate problems with clients and job candidates.
- Translate user needs into wireframes and UI mockups and prototypes, clearly illustrating how screens should look and function. This process will end with well-thought-out interfaces, high fidelity mockups, and smooth and intuitive interactions.
- Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, infographics).
- Design pymetrics products with consistency in mind, ensuring products across the pymetrics ecosystem align with pymetrics brand styles, and established standards and best practices.
- Be a great team player. By joining the product team, you will collaborate closely with engineers, PMs, and QA teams to ensure easy implementation of well thought out features.
