About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Finance to support routine deliverables in a publicly traded setting. The position reports directly to the Chief Strategy Officer and Chief Financial Officer and has an incredible opportunity for impact, accountability and visibility. You will have a supportive finance, accounting, FP&A and business operations team working alongside you to ensure your success. You will play a pivotal role in reporting, accountability, measuring to KPIs and addressing strategic direction of options before the company. This role requires attention to detail, a high level of organization and structure, and highly effective communication. Role is remote at the moment but could be based in SF.


  • Organize and manage weekly reporting to parent company (Fox Corporation). Reporting deliverables will include: short term and long term summary financials, recaps of monthly financial performance, budget-to-actual analysis on an on-going basis,
  • Lead preparation of monthly management discussion and analysis (“MD&A) across KPIs and financials with commentary on drivers for each sector of the business (essentially an internal Wall Street analyst for the company).
  • Build and manage relationships with parent company Finance, FP&A, Investor Relations, and Fox Entertainment Leadership team. Serve as one of the primary points of contact for parent company inquiries regarding financial and business performance.  Organize meetings as necessary to review reports and for periodic deep dives into topics of interest.
  • Maintain master list of metrics for disclosure to public investors and for sharing with agencies and advertisers as part of the company’s marketing efforts. Maintain supporting documentation for all metrics and document how metrics are calculated.
  • Track business performance and trading activity (where relevant) for streaming media comparables. In cases where the streaming media company is a subsidiary of another company (e.g., Pluto which is part of Viacom) review the parent company disclosure for details on the streaming subsidiary.  Goal is to have detailed and well documented database of KPIs of relevant comparables and to understand how Tubi benchmarks versus these companies.
  • Serve as primary owner of the headcount and recruiting budgeting and forecasting function. In this capacity work closely with the CSO, CFO and Head of Talent.  Track KPIs for monitoring recruiting effectiveness and work with CSO to identify opportunities for accelerating the time from publishing a job opening to hiring and onboarding.
  • Diligent documentation of notes and takeaways from each meeting, follow ups and follow through on outcomes of each meeting.
  • Working closely with the FP&A team on forecasting and projections.
  • Working closely with the Accounting team on period end close to streamline a quicker process and develop accurate forecasts of closing financials.
  • Ability to articulate and present final work in simple yet detailed presentations to the C-suite.

Your background:

  • Bachelor degree in finance, accounting or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in investment banking or equity research
  • Experience in investment banking, equity research, accounting, budgeting and/or forecasting with publicly traded companies
  • Experience in managing and reporting sensitive financial information
  • Advanced skills in Excel, Netsuite and Quickbooks a plus
  • Knowledge of SQL and visualization tools (i.e. Periscope, Looker, Tableau) a plus
  • Flexibility and willingness to pivot to new priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Genuine curiosity, keen attention to detail, and strong desire to contribute to the success of the team
  • Analytical and data driven thinking, and experience in developing data-driven frameworks for analyzing business opportunities
  • Strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proven track record of creating structure and deliverables and consistently meeting timelines
  • Passionate about premium Movies & TV, and about consumer technology
