Job Description
Aa a Data Analyst you’ll enable data-driven informed decisioning across the company; and use data to help solve business problems, including - Profit/P&L optimization, processes streamlining, OKR/KPI tracking, customer journey personalisation, and enabling ROI predictability across various initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Use statistical tools to interpret data sets. Create reports and views for internal teams, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts
- Work with executives and other business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement across business lines and related operations
- Collaborate with team members to collect and analyze data
- Use graphs, infographics and other methods to visualize data
- Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of business decisions
- Continuous slicing-dicing of data and unearthing hidden patterns/insights about businesses
- Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings
- Structure large data sets to find usable and useful information
- Own the integrity of our reporting frameworks as the quantity and complexity of our data scales
- Be the cheerleader for data-driven decision making and drive the adoption of analytical thinking across the organisation
Requirements
- At least 6-10 years of experience as a Data Analyst. Experience in Fintech or Ecommerce or SAAS would be preferable
- Coding skills in languages such as SQL, Python and/or R
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with statistical software
- Knowledge of data gathering, cleaning and transforming techniques
- Reporting and data visualisation skills using software like Tableau / Data studio / Metabase and others
- Understanding of data warehousing and ETL techniques
- Ability to set and meet deadlines
- Good technical writing skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial mind set with drive and initiative.
- Minimum BSc / BA / BE / BTech
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Personal qualities of integrity, credibility and quality.Flexible and able to multi-task; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions.
