EasyKnock is a real estate startup disrupting the finance and lending industries. We are on a mission to help the middle class build wealth through their home, while also making that wealth more accessible. We are creating an entirely new category of loan-alternatives that disrupt the rigid way lending worked in the past, we can help millions of people access their home equity.
We want to build on our early success and funding round and aim to bring our analytics to the next level. We’re transitioning to a Redshift data mart pulling data from Hubspot, Salesforce, and a variety of commercial and proprietary sources - and will be adding more. We’re moving from Sheets to Tableau reporting for critical business functions and are rolling out product and data changes to better capture our customer profiles and needs. We’re at a place where we need a Data thought leader that can do and teach as well as guide and direct as we grow the business and the team.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading a team of Data Engineers and Analysts in our Technology organization, managing data and analytics projects and prioritization as we centralize, standardize, and evolve our analytics
- Accountable for delivering quality insights and reporting to partner teams like Product, Sales, and Marketing, but as a team player that can critically analyze requests and push back as needed
- Being both a thought leader and a competent practitioner in data warehousing, ETL pipeline development, KPI development, analytics, reporting & visualization, and machine learning
- Provide insight, expertise, and direction into analytics projects like Lead Scoring, Customer Lifetime Value modeling, Marketing Channel Attribution, Sales Funnel Optimization, and more.
- Identifying areas of need in the business or your organization and proposing solutions
Must have:
- 7+ years of experience working in Business Analytics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, or Data Engineering and 2+ years of experience managing and leading teams
- Experience working in modern Tech shops; Agile, Github, daily standups, etc.
- Strong technical skills (SQL, Python, Scala, etc), excellent analytics and data visualization chops, and an ability to roll up sleeves and execute as needed.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment; strong communication and prioritization skills
- Innate ability to discern between the ‘must have’ and ‘nice to have’ and manage scope-creep
Nice to have:
- Experience in Finance or Real Estate industry
- Experience with Redshift, BigQuery and/or Snowflake
