The Role

As an Engagement Manager you will be responsible for the successful management of professional services for Weaveworks customers and partners. The engagement manager ensures that the engagement is done to a high standard, in a timely manner and as agreed to by the Statement of Work.

What you’ll be doing:

You will manage all stages of the ProServ engagement cycle, from the hand off by sales, planning, execution, performance/monitoring and hand off back to sales for the project close. You will host regular meetings with the customers and partners for the engagement, coordinate with peers in the company and provide escalation as necessary.

  • Lead a proactive approach to customer and partner satisfaction, identifying and escalating concerns before they become problems.
  • Strive for regular communication and information exchange with the rest of the team, locally and remotely
  • Collaborate within Customer Success and Engineering to resolve delivery issues and to provide first class support to the onsite engineers and customer as appropriate
  • Thrive in a diverse and globally distributed team environment,

We’re looking for you if you:

  • Have extensive customer-facing work experience within a consultancy/ProServ practice.
  • Thorough knowledge and professional experience of project management (planning and execution), particularly as it relates to working with cloud native or similar cloud sectors.
  • Sound understanding and application of contract terms, composition / interpretative negotiation
  • Thorough understanding of business concepts, tools and processes
  • Ability to learn quickly, thrive on change and handle the pressure of a customer and partner facing role.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills

It would be a bonus if you:

  • Have prior experience working in open-source projects
  • Have a breadth of SRE and DevOps engineering practice experiences
  • Written and verbal German, Portuguese or French communication skills

  • You must be able to work legally in the country employed
  • We are not accepting contractor or other non-permanent candidates
  • You must be comfortable working in a remote only (WFH) environment.
