Overview

What We Need

NetBrain is looking for a Technical Curriculum Developer with excellent English writing skills, a strong technical background and the ability to articulate deeply technical content. This role will report directly to our Head of Training & Certification

 

The Impact You’ll Make

The courses you develop in this role will directly help our enterprise customers to adopt NetBrain as a way to build scalable and cost-effective troubleshooting and automation solutions for their businesses. You will train them to build their technical skills and develop proficiency with NetBrain’s Automation Framework. NetBrain Training & Certification is developing:

  • Highly technical instructor-led courses with hands-on labs (ILT)
  • e-learning courses that can be accessed on demand
  • self-paced modules and labs that get customers deep into NetBrain technologies

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • You will create "sticky" content that is memorable, engaging, and creative and that elevates training participants to new heights through the design and development of high-quality and informative learning materials.
  • You will translate complex concepts into simple, understandable stories for diverse audience groups (including but not limited to pre-sales, post-sales, technical, non-technical)
  • You will create storyboards, scripts, instructor guides, lab guides, assessments, and Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
  • You will ensure learning objectives are being met through regular reviews of training materials
  • You will deliver presentations such as “betas” and “train-the-trainers” training worldwide for internal and external audiences as needed.
  • You will work independently under pressure, managing multiple deadlines, and reprioritize as needed, with a positive attitude
  • You will collaborate and work cross-functionally with trainers, lab technicians, and SMEs
  • You will troubleshoot and preform fault isolation and root cause analysis for technical issues with training lab topology if needed.
  • You will create images and animations and develop graphics that identify a concept or convey a message
  • You will design and implement engaging and informative technical training content that reflect an understanding of the diversity of learners using a variety of media formats
  • You will ensure the readiness of all course and lab materials prior to delivery, including localization, if required.

Qualifications

Who You Are

  • You have engineer-level understanding of automation and networking concepts
  • You have a BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • You have 5+ years’ experience developing technical courseware or product documentation
  • You are experienced in utilizing, creating, and maintaining a training lab environment
  • You are knowledgeable in Instructional Design Principles and Project Management
  • You have experience with Elasticsearch, AWS, Azure, Ansible, Python and/or related cloud technologies
  • You are capable with visual design/layout, and/or UX principles
  • You are experienced in video editing as well as graphic design, video, micro-lerning, gamification, simulations, animation/motion graphics
  • You have working knowledge of Absorb, Magentrix, PowerPoint, Audacity, Adobe Creative Suite
