Responsibilities
About The Role:
- Manage the raw material procurement for Zetwerk. Zetwerk does around 5000-7000T of fabrication and for the same require raw material for manufacturing.
- Coordinate with regional teams of south, west, north and east to get the raw material requirements.
- Work on RM inquiries and deliver the best quotes possible in the defined TATs.
- Develop a network of Raw material vendors across different geographies to work on Zetwerk’s raw material requirements and get the least rates possible.
- Work on annual MOUs with manufacturers such as JSW, JSPL, SAIL, TATA and others to leverage bulk discounts.
- Work with the operations team to ensure delivery of RM as well as coordinating with them for documents.
Requirements
Knowledge:
- Understanding of steel raw material trade.
- Understanding of different types, makes of raw materials involved in steel trade.
- Understanding of different requirements within steel trade such as test certificates, testings etc.
- Understanding of different types of payment terms involved in steel trade.
Abilities:
- Atleast 3+ years of experience in Raw material procurement.
- Part of the purchase team of a reputed organisation in the steel space.
- Worked in dealing with purchase of raw material upwards of 2000 MT/month in the previous organisation.
- Strong ability to negotiate with vendors to get the best rate.
