What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Cluster Business Head and as a Cluster Business Head, you will be a mini-CEO for the business unit with an end to end responsibility. You will lead a team of 100+ to deliver strong culture and employee care, world-class customer experience, growth and profitability. You will lead 5 core functions such as sales, sourcing, category management, operations and Transport. Everyday is about strengthening Ninjacart’s promise for our customers, farmers, drivers and employees and change the way vegetables and fruits the city consumes.

What you will do? | Responsibilities

  • Growth: Own end to end growth and P&L of the city business unit - Drive demand, supply, PnL, Operations, logistics teams to deliver best in class customer experience and growth
  • Solve customer problems: Leverage Ninjacart’s capability to solve farmer's and customer's problems and strive to deliver real value
  • Build teams: Hire and develop high caliber teams, who can deliver exceptional customer experience, growth and sustain the same - build an environment that motivates people to thrive in their expertise and deliver aggressive results
  • Efficiency: Implement strong processes and drive efficiency to deliver consistency and reliability - day in day out.
  • Get things done
  • Build a strong Ninjacart culture: Evangelize and build a strong Ninjacart culture and principles among internal and external stakeholders and create a strong brand by delivering on promise consistently

What you will need to have | Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Education from Tier I Engineering/MBA institutes
  • 4 to 10 years of experience in sales / General Management / Category management roles
  • Experience in managing a P&L is a strong plus
  • Experience in managing multi-layered operations and teams
  • Previous entrepreneurial stint is a big plus

Required Skill-sets:

  • Must have: Strong people management, mentoring skills and team player - Need strong experience in this area
  • Believer of team-work (in other words must have strong leadership principles) - knows how to build a team, train them, and lead them to the right vision.
  • Superior analytical skills: Demonstrated ability to identify and solve ambiguous problems. In particular, identifying customer needs and inventing new ways to meet those needs. Deep understanding of customer acquisition and engagement methods and metrics
  • A competent decision-maker with the ability to develop, own and build a strategic plan
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability and willingness to work in ambiguity
  • Technology affinity and track record of employing systems to drive simplification and change
  • Fast learner and be comfortable working in a fast-changing startup environment.
  • Must be street smart and should have the ability to handle crunch situations (police cases, fire in the warehouse) effectively
