About the Role 

The Paid Social Manager will own the day-to-day management and performance of DataCamp’s Facebook Ad campaigns, as well as other paid social channels.  The role is part of the Acquisition team focused on growing both individual subscriptions (B2C) and enterprise leads (B2B). We need someone who will bring a fresh perspective, creativity, and storytelling to our paid social ad campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of paid social campaigns, including managing creative, targeting, budgets, bid strategy, conversion optimization, campaign structure, and reporting
  • Our primary channel is Facebook Ads, while secondary channels include LinkedIn, Quora, Reddit, Twitter, etc.
  • Develop compelling messaging, tailored to each ad platform and purchase funnel stage (e.g. prospecting vs. remarketing)
  • Experiment with and execute new ad formats (e.g. video, carousel, instant experience)
  • Copywrite headlines and ad creative
  • Create creative briefs and interface w/designers for required images
  • Create video creative briefs and interface w/agency partners for video ads
  • Propose landing page ideas that enhance the customer journey and improve conversions
  • Effectively communicate performance to stakeholders via reports, presentations, meetings
  • Contribute to the wider marketing discourse by sharing thoughts and feedback on other acquisition, retention, and branding initiatives

The Ideal Candidate

  • Has 3+ years experience managing and optimizing Facebook Ads. Experience on other platforms a plus 
  • Is creative and innovative - able to push the envelope on how paid social platforms can be used to acquire customers
  • Has copywriting skills - able to craft headlines and ad copy that convey our story and value props, with impact
  • Has good visual sense - able to collaborate with designers to produce images that reinforce/complement the message
  • Is a strong marketer - customer-first mentality, and a storyteller.  
  • Has a growth mindset - always hunting for the most conversions and best CPA through extensive experimentation and optimization
  • Is data-driven and analytical - we’re a data science company!
  • Is self starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability 
  • Is resourceful and organized with high attention to detail
