The Subscription Strategy Group (SSG) works with many of the world's top companies to recommend transformational strategies to launch subscription services and automate their order-to-revenue operations. Our engagements employ Zuora's industry leading research, value modeling, and other techniques to deliver high-impact recommendations. Today, Zuora is at the forefront of enabling our customers' digital transformation and subscription led-business models. This has fueled the growth of the Subscription Economy.

YOUR MISSION: Become a trusted subscription strategy advisor to executives at our largest and most strategic prospects and customers, helping them to envision and lead their businesses to see measurable impact. 


  • Build relationships with GSIs and consulting partners and jointly deliver value to constituents
  • Partner closely with the Sales and Customer Success teams to identify and lead subscription strategy engagements and ensure that our deep understanding of the customer’s business objectives are leveraged as we work to help the customer realize success
  • Create and evolve a set of industry leading tools and artifacts for scale and impact
  • Improve win rates, deal velocity and ACV for engaged prospects
  • Open up access to executive buyers, influencers, and power
  • Engage with prospects through the development and presentation of  materials that help them envision a measurable business impact from subscription and Zuora
  • Engage with strategic, at risk/high opportunity customers for retention and CLV expansion
  • Develop a framework or playbook for high impact, repeatable delivery 
  • Contribute to industry leading perspectives on subscription best practices, business model transformation, subscription macro-economic trends, challenges, etc.


  • 8+ years of experience with at least 2 years of recent client-facing experience in a professional services organization (additional experience may include highly relevant industry experience in Strategic Planning and Delivery, Operations, Finance, or Accounting) 
  • Experience leading engagements in a top strategic or management consulting firm 
  • Demonstrated track record helping companies undergo major transformations, including: Digital, Business Model and Product to service transformations 
  • Expertise in some or all of the following:
    • End-to-end Business and Finance Transformation across people, process, technology, and data
    • Developing and using complex financial models (forecasting, build versus buy, ROI assessment, price optimization, etc.)
    • Development of Business Cases and Strategic Roadmaps
    • Program Management, Project Implementation, and Change Management
    • Operating Model and Organizational Assessment, Design, and Implementation
  • Experience with and ability to be provocative and compelling with both internal and external executive leaders (e.g., C Suite)., 
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills including talent for conducting research, analyzing data, developing hypotheses, and synthesizing recommendations
  • Strong emotional intelligence to read the room and high integrity with a drive to do the right thing for our customers’ long term customer success
  • Ability to align technology solutions to complex, multi-stakeholder business problems and utilize strategic thinking skills to solve customer problems
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% of the time (eventually).
