About AccuRx

accuRx is on a mission to bring patients and their healthcare teams together.

Job Description

At accuRx, we're on a mission to change lives by bringing patients and their healthcare teams together.

Who are accuRx?

At accuRx, we're building a world-famous healthcare communication platform. Our mission is simple - to change lives by bringing patients and their healthcare teams together. Our technology is revolutionising how technology is adopted and how care is delivered in healthcare.

Established in 2016 and now with £9m in Series A funding, accuRx is one of the UK's fastest-growing tech start ups. In one year, we grew from only a few GP practices using us to over 20% of the market. Today, over 90% of GP practices rely on us and over the past few months we have worked really hard on driving adoption within Hospitals, our product is now used in over 50% of trusts and this number is growing day by day. Our vision is that anyone involved in a patient's care can communicate with each other.

In response to COVID-19, we spent March and April working tirelessly to release new features to help frontline staff. This includes a video consultation solution that went from zero to 35,000 daily consultations, in the space of 8 weeks.

Unlike many healthtech companies, we are a software provider, not a healthcare provider. We allow existing health and care systems (starting with the NHS in the UK) to deliver technology-enabled care, free from any AI/Blockchain-hype.

Life as an Operations Analyst at accuRx

As an Operations Analyst you will be part of the team enabling accuRx to deliver as much to the health system as possible.

Innovating at scale in healthcare isn't easy. That’s why the role of Operations at accuRx is to understand the barriers to innovation, support NHS staff to overcome them and create the right internal systems to allow our colleagues do what they do best: build impactful software.

Most roles in start-ups involve a range of different responsibilities. Things move fast so you can expect new, unanticipated, projects to come your way and exposure to lots of different aspects of the business. This is especially true of Operations at AccuRx. However, your core responsibilities are sure to include...

Product operations

  • You'll support the operational requirements of a whole product area, ensuring our team, our users and, most importantly, patients are happy with how accuRx processes data
  • You'll work with our Product Teams to put privacy at the heart of all our products
  • You'll work with NHS technology bodies (NHSX and NHS Digital) to assure our products to meet and exceed healthcare standards

Partnership operations

  • You'll work with our Partnerships Team to build our commercial infrastructure: from getting us onto the right procurement frameworks to setting up a scalable invoicing and payment process you'll be essential in turning accuRx into a sustainable revenue-generating business.

Business operations

  • We're growing rapidly and expect to be 100 people by mid next year. You'll be responsible for implementing and improving processes across the company, making sure that nothing gets in the way of people being able to do their jobs as effectively and efficiently as possible

We're a close-knit unit who value openness and challenge and we always make sure that we support each other so that we can effectively support the company and the health system.

What the team say ...,

Olivia - Operations Manager

"We're so excited to be growing the team! 2020 has been amazing and we've helped to make an important impact on the system so we can't wait to see what we can achieve with more people on board. There's so much to do and I think this role will be a brilliant opportunity to learn all about what it takes to scale a healthtech startup."

We'd really like to hear from you, if ...

We're open to different types and levels of experience for this role. Ideally you'll have a degree and some experience in a professional environment but this isn't absolutely essential, in general we're keen that :

  • You can demonstrate evidence of working on multiple projects at once
  • You want to learn about what it takes to make a fast growing company work behind the scenes
  • You're a fast learner and can pick up context and new information quickly
  • You are able to prioritise, and balance multiple competing responsibilities at once.
  • You're willing to get stuck in and do what it takes to make things happen
  • You're mission-driven and care about positively impacting the lives of billions
  • You're passionate about improving healthcare
  • You're excited by change and a fast-paced learning environment
  • You love solving problems, and relish in the constant challenges a startup throws your way.
  • You're an excellent communicator with the ability to translate complex to simple, bringing your ideas to life.
  • You have excellent relationship management and rapport building skills.
  • When you see something not working, you'll flag it and be part of the solution
  • You share our values
